and if he is smart he already checked that car is actually yours and have registration plus it is not on any finace...

also will ask you to write a letter saying that it is not under finace/loan....etc.

once transaction if finished it your responsible to send off "auto transfer form to nearest licencing centre"

Yep, just fill out the notice of disposal form that is on the back of the registration certificate. He/she may also ask for a receipt (handwritten is fine). They will have to transfer the registration within 14 days and you ave to give the RTA the notice of disposal form within 14 days too. However, I would go into the RTA (most are open until 12:30 tomorrow) and hand that in asap to avoid any problems that may arise if the new owner gets a fine via a camera as it will go to you.

Call your local RTA office and ask for information on selling your car, they will tell you what needs to be signed, paid, handed over etc etc.

Also alot of people selling cars will only accept a bank cheque, opposed to a personal cheque. Because that is a safer transaction method for them.
