Just a question about how a particular setup works.

When running a Apexi PowerFC with a hand controller and a seperate boost controller (Eboost2) and going from tune to tune, how does the computer tell?

eg 3 setting, 1 at 25 PSI, one at 20 PSI and one at 15 PSI. Do you have to change the boost controller then select a different map on the Apexi or does it auto-compensate with the Air Flow Meters?

Also how is adjustable cam tuning done? Obviosly they do it whilst on the dyno, but is it a matter of trial an error untill you get the best torque curve/turbo spool up?

actually no.. it all depends on the setup on the car. because its a afm based ecu its possible the ecu does not know the difference from 20 - 25psi boost.

make sure your tuner takes this into consideration.

What happens is as boost increases the air intake through the AFM increases, and this in turn outputs a higher voltage to the ecu and tells it which part of the fuel/ignition maps to use. So it doesnt actually know what boost youre running, it just moves to the part of the map that matches the afm voltage and rpm

In other words the tuner will have to tune that one map at all three boost levels, and as you put it, the ecu will auto-compensate for it depending on the voltage it is seeing from the afm
