Hey guys, just did the AROCA track day this weekend.

The early start, travel down, long day and travel home nearly killed me.

So, I reckon staying down there the night prior is the trick. I'm assuming some of you guys stay there for weekends too.

I'm after some recommendations for decent accomodation with room to park the car with tandem trailer.

Advice would be appreciated!!

Thanks

Just get in touch with local real estate agents. There are loads of holiday places down there. I have hired a few , others more up market places...all are great and have respective strengths. I stay at a friends place these days and pay rent to his family which suits me fine. But it can make sense to get 10-12 people together and make a weekend of it like SAU used to back in the day in 2004-2005 :)

How did the car go?

How did the car go?

For the first time out on an untested car, and my first time ever at PI, not too bad.

The car developed a miss at 3,500rpm - half way through 2nd session. Revs OK when stationary - just doesn't go under load (blows smoke and misses/stutters). I suspect coil packs, but will take it to Racepace.

Aside from that, the suspension setup was great. Didn't get a real chance to understand how the tyres react and optimal pressures. I couldn't really get grip coming out of corners, so I think the diff will need some work too.

Hail was a major downer!

All in all, not a bad first day out. I didn't stack the car, the engine didn't blow, and got to go fast!! When's the next day??

I usually stay at Waves... Very convenient and there's plenty of parking room for trailers. If your trailer fits in one car spot and you're happy to bother unhitching it, you can sometimes get a park in the garages.

Thanks mate
