On a semi related note has anyone towed anything relativity heavy with their Stag? Thinking maybe rally car sized.

Fellow SDU member trailers his R33 Skyline from Tauranga to the drags at Meremere (over the Kamai ranges) with his n/a C34 Stagea no problems.

Hi Guys,

Huge thanks for all your input.

I have measured up and think i have a good spot for the cooler. Going with a PWR brand from ebay.

Once i have it on the car i might be asking for some help with the plumbing. :whistling:

Here's a how to:

What sort of temp dose the oil get too/ whats too hot? Thinking about getting a temp gauge on my M35 to see what its like while towing.

I towed my HQ yesterday about 20km. Was a hire trailer that said was 750kg and the car should be around 1200-1300kg. If I planed on getting a race car I would not have got the Stagea. It sagged a bit to much in the arse for my liking and defiantly needs more torque

From memory / plucked from the air - at or over 120oC for the ATF, and its reducing the life of the transmission and doing it pain.

If your towing loads like that, you really need to get it sorted. I would say it got on the hot side if your up and down hills. Get a big one!
