Strong fuel smell inside the Car

Ditch the surge tank and start again Why not take it to another reputable place and have them assess it for you? I'm sure ICE could help out, as could Ben.

Hi guys I have a external pump and surge tank in my boot and I too can often smell petrol.

I havn't noticed any leaks in my boot at all so im not really concerned about that.

Although sometimes I have noticed a little streak or two running down from the fuel cap above my wheel arch (hardly ever though).

I have noticed that the smell was when I first got the pump done, and I havn't smelt petrol for a while now

I think i might need to redo the surge tank, the way as it is look very doggy. even the surge tank it self is not secure in the boot (only hold by 2x 1.5-2cm long screw) I can basically using my hand to shake the tank. the fuel line is cover by some elec wire black cover. (I think is to protect the fuel line been cut by that doggy cutting whole from the inspection cover
