2) gets pads next to the rotors for instant application.

Pressurises the system and gets the pad to the face of the rotor. It makes a huge difference.

You know when you go to press the pedal, it's going to be rock hard. Which it is. If you don't do it, the pedal will travel a long way before the car really starts to pull up. This way, you have total confidence and it pulls up straight away.

It's just a touch, not enough to slow the car at all.

Sandown Turn 1,5 and Winton Turn 1(11) get the same treatment.

Most touring car drivers do the same thing, well that is where I stole it from.

I don't even think about it anymore, just natural.

I wish I knew, my car felt great down the straight, it was already wound off the clock in 4th and 5th just kept pulling hard,

Yeh those 180kph clocks are pretty shit lol.

You were pulling away from me nicely Artz, I think I was hitting 250 up the straight, not sure how accurate my speedo is up there though...

I'd be very suprised by that.

My speedo doesn't work and only goes to 180 anyway.

Data tells me. 254kph max and 179 is slowest through turn 1. Crazy fast!

yeah 180 speedos are rubbish and mine reads 10% fast anyway, this was the first time ive used racechrono and got 231.

Rus, 179 though turn one is awesome ive got like 160 or something. must be that wing working?

254, impressive!

What about through the Hey Shed?

I'd be very suprised by that.

Perhaps they need a radar at the end of the straight. Turn one had a shit surface, I can't believe the speeds some of you were doing through there.

Sandown should be interesting with moar boost in the 76, should be well over 350kw by then (and I can actually get it to the ground unlike you guys.) :P

Wow. Didn't realise that hayshed was that fast! Awesome corner!. Apex was 187 and got to 196 before braking for lukey heights.

How bout you?

Could I send you the file to overlay? Would be an interesting for comparison.

I'd love to say it's all aero but to be honest I would say it's a bit aero but mostly being a lighter car. Mine is down near 1280kg. Probably a good 200-250kg lighter so that helps.

I think having the big wing and splitter will be improving the mid-corner a lot. Shame I wan't able to test the diffuser and cannards properly. Still disappointed I didn't get a good run before the engine let go...

My thing did 276km/hr last time - and it wasn't at full throttle.

These R35's sure are slippery things. My best max speed down there in the R34 was 245km/hr.

(These are GPS tracked speeds, not "speedo" speeds too).

Send it through.

I struggle for speed through hayshed a little, I'd like to be doing 200 through the apex. It's 180 at the apexi and 190 in the braking zone. I snatch 5th before turning in and am flat to the floor the whole was through. I have tried 4th a couple of times, but I need more revs as the thing is on the limiter in the braking zone in 4th. 5th is fine, as the car is very stable through that section of the track.

Turbo will small rear housing = no pull up top.

speedo said +230km/h but I was braking pretty early for turn 1. previous owner claims he saw 240~ on the hand controller once, but he also did a 1:54 lap so im not going to doubt it

Damn! That's fast! What power was that done with?

    • Yeah it was a good result, and confirming the car is full of fluids and all interior etc in, other than fuel. I think a few pages back (maybe many pages!) he mentioned some serious lightening in the doors with the chassis punch, might have been done elsewhere I hadn't seen yet too
    • He still had the suspension dialled in for him! I would have sworn the lowest weight he ever got to was 1300kg though Maybe Neil had been drilling a LOT of holes somewhere you haven't found yet... 😛 Or has he also drained all the gearbox and diff oil out too, between it, and a tank full of fuel there's about 65kg to 70kg to add back in I'd guess. 😛
    • Yeah this isn't a super complex shape, but I was still happy to buy instead of fab version 1; very little in a modern can is a flat surface, and that is true here again - the undertray has about 50mm in height differences that I would have had to work out myself. I will probably make something more substantial before it does any rally, I don't think 1mm steel is too much use as a bash plate. There is also cooling to think about, Z1 have done a bit of development and have some air holes and louvers in the shape, will see how that works out too
    • If it's been tuned idle rpm can be changed.
    • Very slightly as there are bars connecting both sides of the ramp. The only difficulty that I had was doing the gearbox, everything else so far has been ok
