Hey everyone I just bought a R33 GTST Series II and it doesn't have a boost controller but it has an ECU.

Exactly how can I find out what PSI it's running at?

Additionally is there anything I need to be cautious of for example, possible dodgy mods or something breaking? - as it is my first turbocharged car.

Thanks!!

What kind of ECU?

If it has no boost controller, then it will be running whatever PSI the actuator is set at, and with the lack of information you supplied im assuming it has a stock turbo, so it will be either running 7-9psi depending on mods, and if it has the solenoid connected or not, or 10ish psi if it has an R32 actuator.

Only way to really find out is go get a cheap boost gauge and check.

buy yourself a boost gauge and then you can see exactly what pressure the boost is set at. even just a $50 one will do the job.

and i have to ask, why did you buy a car without knowing what exactly you were buying? not to make fun of you, but you bought your first turbo car, it is modified but you don't know how. you would be best of contacting the person you bought the car off and asking them what boost pressure it's running, and what mods are done.
