Hi Mate,

Nice install. Have a question for you. From your pictures it looks as if you were able to output video from your Pioneer headunit onto the factory navigation screen.

I suspect you pluged an AV cable from your headunits video out into the TV unit (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/184366-diy-put-av-input-for-350gt-wo-reverse-camera/).

Does the video out allow you to clone whatever is on the headunit?

My factory cd-player recently has the "CD ERR F0" issue, im looking at doing a double din install with possibly a headunit with GPS and video out.

I feel that the double din location is very low on the dash and would like to use the headunits video output to display or clone the GPS on the navigation screen.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

Any information would be great.

Cheers

They definately did never have stock subs, Know that for a fact. The 6x9s in the rear shelf act as the subs.

jjj jones! All i did was remove the stock gps screen and controller which was in two parts and just installed them back into the facia as per the stock. Plugged it straight back in using the stock cable and plug.

So you don't need to have any av cables at all! What shoes on the pioneer unit doesn't show on the gps, that was just a gps warning. The gps works fine.

I dont think you can do what your looking to do as the navi screen has no more inputs/outputs to be able to.

The double din is not low at all. Trust me, it feels completely fine and looks great.

the single 8in speaker in the center of the parcel shelf is considered a sub.. the non-bose systems did not have this, they only have the door speakers. If you have a bose system an don't have the sub in the parcel shelf.. someone has removed it at some stage.. You should also have a small amp under the parcel shelf toward the left side, if you have a true bose system.

A quick search on the forum should yeild plenty of information.

Sonicii don't be so quick to jump to what you think is right ;)

That is the sedan system you are refering too.

The coupes amp is located in the rear boot on the floor.

The coupes all have 6x9s on the rear shelf. Have a look at a few mate.

Ahh.. you have a coupe.. sucks the sedans get a sub and the coupe doesn't...

Have a look at a few?? Lol.. because they are so common and all.. I think I have seen one in the flesh while it was driving in the other direction.

Kind of shuts down your 'there was never a sub in any V35. Don't know where you got that from?' comment though..

Anyway.. glad you are happy with the setup!

Thanks for your reply. Sorry im just a little confused. Are you saying your GPS is a completely seperate screen/unit to the Pioneer headunit?

So you pulled out your stock screen and replaced it with the GPS screen?

No, he is calling the stock screen the GPS screen.....

yeah im still confused... oh well. Just thought it was strange that the stock navi screen is showing someting in english, unless he had the english translation done.

No sub in any v35 coupe is what i meant.

The coupes 6x9s do the job trust me. It would have the same kick if not more of an 8 inch sub. It belts out the bass.

Shakes the car like crazy.

The gps screen came with the car. When i removed the old facia it all just unscrews. So i just put back the gps screen into the new facia.

The pioneer and gps run off different cables and plugs. Independant.

I don't know if they got an english translation...my stock V35 screen only works with the gps. The menus and other stuff doesnt work for some reason :(

rather than open up a new thead i thought id ask it here,

does anyone know what radio wire harness to use for a series 3 (2006) 350gt coupe with no bose system and factory navi? ive had a look around but i keep getting confused with all the different harnesses around and alot of them saying they are for 03 can they be used on the 06 or is there a different one?
