180Sx Roll Cage To Fit In A R33

G'day guys and girls!!

Iv been doing some research and iv been after a 6 point cage for my 33 but sourcing one down has become impossible!! sooo iv also heard that 180sx cages can be easily modified to fit into a r33!! Does anyone know if this is possible!!

Depends what you want it for? There's heaps of bolt in cages on yahoo japan.

Or get one made locally.

Assuming you want a 6 point bolt in cage?

You would be best off getting someone to fab one for you - I use Andrew @ Trackart http://www.trackart.com.au/ in Melbourne.

Brad @ Pro-fabrications on this forum would likely be across the dimensions needed for an R33.

Bond Roll Bars might do a pre-made bolt or weld in for R33.

If would personally go someone local to you so they can build it based on your car & requirements. Willall racing might be able to point you in the right direction to someone local to you.

I do r33 weld in and bolt in cages but not in "kit" forms.

If I have the vehicle I'll fabricate a cage to suit. Otherwise it becomes a nightmare with fitting issues, insurance issues if/when the vehicle is rolled and injury occurs, the problems outweigh the profit.

Also the 180sx idea won't work.

The widths are different. Front leg lengths are different.

Rear leg mounting angles are wrong.

It would cost more to modify than buying a cage to suit from a local supplier
