R33_Cam
SUMMONER!!!! Cam here how ya doin man. i got my RSM from Car Quest, $400 for RSM plus $80 for G-Sensor, i put it in myself, pretty easy, except the manual was in japanese, so had to go online and get english version, i didnt see any commodore wiring diagrams in there though?? anyway come and have a look and see what it does next time ya see me if ya want, i rekon the RSM beats the hell out of G-Tech anyday, looks heaps better and does more and only a little more expensive. Cya round. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/4045-apexi-rsm/page/2/#findComment-65555 Share on other sites

R33_Cam
yeah there pretty good, dunno how accurate they are but they are supposed to be accurate to within 0.01 of a second but ive never been down the quarter so i dont know, the h/p reading was pretty accurate though, that was spot on to what the dyno read on my last car. RadiuM
i have the older style RSM, the one before the blue screen but its basically the same. I set it down on the quarter and on a few runs it was spot on, and the rest were only 0.1-0.2 seconds off the mark. It all depends on wheels spin as it reads it from the distance travelled. So in theory you could do a 400m quarter on the spot Shaun Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/4045-apexi-rsm/page/2/#findComment-65604 Share on other sites
HJB
RadiuM, I have the older style RSM in my R32 as well (When its arrives, should be a week or two). Once it arrives do you think we can catch up at one of the events and you could run me through the RSM functions? R33_Cam
Radium:: Do u have the G-Sensor on yours, cause i have been told that when you have the optional G-Sensor it compensates for wheel spin off the mark, so you get an even more acurate reading??? hks-s14
How accurate are these RSM's at measuring distances etc? I am thinking about doing some navigation type events in my S14 and need something that can help me measure distances and timing. R33_cam, nope.. don't think the older one came with a G sensor (checks manual) but the new one might compensate for this. We installed a new one in a mates car, I love the G sensor graphs, just like the R34 GTR. hehe Shaun Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/4045-apexi-rsm/page/2/#findComment-65838 Share on other sites
R33_Cam
 yeah i think alot of the features are there to just look good  hks-s14:: they are pretty accurate with distances i rekon, measures to 0.01km (i think, don't quote me on that), its all resetable whenever you want, and can record your best times etc etc now all i need is the SAFC sitting next to it, that would look sweet and mite actually make it go a bit better too.... Boostzor
Just thought id let u guys know that Skylines Australia does not condone any of the silly behaviour as described in this thread. If you break the posted speed limit you run the risk of killing yourself and others and we all know nobody wants that. We have already had a couple of incidents in the fold over the last week or 2 so lets not go testing our RSM's to see if we can beat the land speed record eh? If you really feel complled to give it a good test, Moroplex is open most weeknights for a small fee and its alot safer and legal there than it is on public roads. Oh, no more references to illegal activites please. Any more and the thread will have to closed.:uh-huh: Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/4045-apexi-rsm/page/2/#findComment-353325 Share on other sites
