Stagea Front Lip, Where To Buy In Sydney

Recommended Posts

Hi there

Im hoping someone here on the forum can help me, coming up to tax time im gathering up ideas on what i can buy for my stagea this year round, i think ive narrowed it down to getting a front lip, eye lids and selling my current wheels and upgrading to work eurolines!

but im stuck, where in sydney can i buy a lower front lip and eye lids like pictured on the black stagea below? ive attatched a photo of my silver stagea aswell so if you happen to see me driving around livo/campbelltown area your more than welcome to stop me for a chat as im always interested in meeting like minded enthusiasts!

The 25G did not have a front lip and you cant just get a Stagea lip and fit as the main bars are different. You would have to get a complete bar with lip

and they are getting scarce. I would go for an after market like Aero/Dolphin etc.especially if you want/have an FMIC.

Wonder if an R33 GT-R lip is close-ish?

Chris, your best shot straight up would be sourcing a series 1 Dayz/late series 1 kit, which would get the same front bar, skirts, rear bar (minus the black lip) as SWAGON there.

Wouldnt a lip for a skyline been a closer fit??

You'd be surprised how well this lip fits, it does take a bit of play to get it perfect, but it stumps everyone when they realise how difficult it is to get a stagea lip. a skyline lip may have been a closer fit, but again, this one fit surprisingly well.

And yes, i do have a dayz kit, its all genuine plastic, although im not sure if non-days models have the clips available in the sills to mount the days skirts, someone should be able to clear that up though.

    • Surprisingly the D6000 is only $1999, I'm waiting for the BF/CM sales, and hoping to get one cheaper. D4000 is well priced, still outperforms the 13" SVS PB-3000 and is like 1/2 the price at $1699 RRP. I do watch a fair amount of movies, and listen to EDM, jazz, symphonies, etc. so the lower notes from a subwoofer are always appreciated. The front 8" stage, just doesn't provide you with lively feeling, even though they are pretty bassy for a pair of large bookshelves. Then again, these days it's just playing Wiggles, Blippi and Ms Rachel, another reason the 3m wide cabinet exists, to hide all the audio gear behind it. They used to sit on a nice pair of stands, but as you know, they make good baby traps too.
    • Granted, which is a solid reason why I don't have one. My floorstanders are only -2 dB at 22 Hz.  So they're still working down to <20 Hz. Which is no doubt part of the reason why my receiver shits the bed! That Tonewinner would be about double the cost though, so it's not apples and apples. There aren't many AU$1300 subs (that you can buy prebuilt, I'm ignoring what can be achieved by DIYing) that compete.
    • -6dB at 22Hz isn't that great, watch the data from the D6000 from REW
    • I'll just leave this here. https://www.adelaidespeakers.com/subwoofers.html TL loading, big power. They sound awesome. This is what I would buy if I was going to try to take the bass away from my floorstanders. Just go with the 12".
    • I'll snap up some photos when I'm back home, in the office today meeting my "in the office" quota. Have 2x Teams calls scheduled in, office culture they reckon.   I've never owned a proper off the shelf sub, I've always made or modified broken ones with Jaycar plate amps and/or car subwoofer drivers. The current (and broken) subwoofer has a proper home driver in it, Dayton driver, thos one https://www.daytonaudio.com/product/118/rss265hf-4-10-reference-hf-subwoofer-4-ohm FS of 25Hz, which is low but not low enough. Yeah, I think they were brought out to the market to compete with SVS. I would love a SVS PB-3000 but they're not cheap, especially after their price hike. From reviews online, it does look like the Tonewinner D6000 would destroy and with good amount of money saved too.
