mate i used a ring spanner. note mm but the other one. (im crap with metric and imperial) it was the equivalent to a 22mm well bit bigger because 22mm wouldnt fit. tiny bit of pressure and it popped undone! hope all that makes some kind of sense to ya chap!

Because like everyone else they use a shifter.

There are heaps on Fleabay...

dodgy ass shifters and crap...gah

yeah use a spanner. i cut the wire off my old one so you don't have to worry about it, then use the right size spanner. the angled head on the spanner is about the same curve as a standard dump pipe. and is easiest to get to from under the car (believe it or not). i couldn't get to it at any angle from in the engine bay, even with the heat shield removed off the turbo.

Your local snapon dealer can get you one.... they're not really that expensive.

Or get the right size 'crows foot' spanner attachment for you socket set ratchet and extension.

Or heat it up and give it a little tap, then undo it with your fingers.

Or buy a cheap ass tube socket of the right size, then chop a 1/3 off one side.

Or buy two cheap ass sockets, cut the back off one and weld it to the front of the the whole one.

Or ....

im over it

Justin.

thanks guys yeah ive got a spanner and that to remove it but i had the problem as above, couldnt get to it from the engine bay....ill try and get to it from underneath...?

its not that its hard to remove its just that the spanners i have are too large for the engine bay =/
