I want to change my front and rear diff oils in my NON-VSPEC R34 GTR. The search i did has some conflicting information about whether to use LSD oil in the front diff or not... I know the rear is a Helical diff, so a non LSD type oil would do.

  1. What viscosity to use in the front or rear?
  2. Should i use an LSD type oil in the front?
  3. Rough capacity for front and rear?
  4. Finally, any recommendations for either? I favour Redline or Motul for sure.

I know it gets covered a bit, but my search did not give me any really good answers. Thanks heaps guys!!

2. No, the front diff isn't a LSD. Just a regular single spinner. Putting LSD oil won't hurt it at all though.

3. As for capacity, need someone with access to the R34 GTR service manual. R32/R33 is: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/205993-transmission-lubricants/page__view__findpost__p__4741416

4. Good: Motul & Redline

Cheap: Castrol
