So i've had my car for awhile now and when i purchased it i bought these 18x8 ROH Mantis Rims.

The tyres lasted about 1-2 Years and when i got new tyres put on about 6 months later the rear drivers Blew out from the inside,. at first i thought it just required a wheel alignment, later on about another 6 months the passanger side front blew out same pattern the wire was showing from the inside under the tread, i thought the same. another wheel alignement...

I called up to get some quotes and the guy said there is no way those tyres are on your car... i was like well im looking at it and they are

he stated who ever put the tyres on my car have put the wrong size on. the size on my 18"rims are 255/50R18

I have no clue what were on before when they lasted for around 2 years no problem. He stated they have probably blown out from hitting the suspension on the inside.

Im just wondering if anyone knows what tyres should be on them because well im just after some cheapies and i wanna get them online instead of having to pay $250 each at a tyre store.

Sorry its a Nissan Skyline R33 S2 1998

I've done a bit of looking around in the Wheel sizes & Offsets thread and a few people with the R33Gtst and 18x8 rims have 235/40/r18

their offsets are around 30-38

so i might take a look at a few of these, hopfully they work out haha

Yeah i just realised this, I mixed up the numbers when typing does anyone else do this lol they were 225/50/r18 my bad sorry guys :) any way i took a look and they were a cheap chinese tyre thats why they blew out. i just ended up getting some 225/40/18's they are a cheaper brand also but my last experiance with them was good. because there so cheap the rubber lasts for ever! BUT they are crap in the wet which is fine for me. Achilles is the brand i got. just for everyday driving. hopfully with a new wheel alignment i wont be getting one sided wear
