Have you checked the battery in the key. Sounds like it might be time to buy a new one. Undo the small phillips screw and prise open the two key halves. From memory battery is 3volt and if you have a multimeter should be a bit above this if still serviceable. I think mine was 3.06v last time I checked. Anything from 3.0v or below needs replacing.

I have tried both remotes and it does the same thing, the funny thing is that the driver’s side door lock does not lock with the lock button only locks the passenger side, but if I manualy push the lock it works?

I'll check the voltage of the battery's just to be sure.

From taking apart the door I’ve found that there still movement in the actuator.

From the looks of it I’ll need to replace that.

Can you just buy the actuator or do you have to buy the whole assembly including door latch and cables?

or a fuse.

nah too easy :P

without knowing key condition, car condition we are really guessing at what the actual issue is.

by default these cars spit window motors and door actuators at will. fuel flap and boot release actuators do die but not that common like the other two.

if you had a BCM fault then a door lock would be the least of your worries.

Well it looks like it’s the BCM as the voltage that is being sent to the boot actuator is 10v for about half a second which is nowhere near enough to kick the electrical motor over that’s in the actuator.

Does anyone have a diagram of the pin outs for the BCM so I can check voltage and grounding?
