You've missed the point though. This is about rebranding the vehicle as an Infiniti, not a Nissan. Mine came with the Skyline mats but they're a little worn and I'd like to replace them with Infiniti mats instead.

Where did you get the engine cover? Struggling to find it.

Anyone know if we can get the Infiniti grille emblem for our cars? I know the Nissan ones can be taken off. Do the Infiniti ones fit the same, and where can we get one?

I'd say it'd just be a swap, try Ebay

Definitely eBay. Around $30 should do the trick from memory. The Infiniti badge is a little more elliptical in shape so there will be some of the grille that used to sit behind the Nissan hamburger that will then become exposed. This is all ok but you might find there's a buildup of dirt that will need a good wash and possible hand polish to basically make sure there aren't any unsightly marks when you replace it.

Not really cos if you trawled import monster you would find that there is infiniti branded and completely non branded stuff for the V36 (lots of non branded mats for instance). I don't get the whole rebranding thing, if you bought a Skyline for the resale value then you've pretty much missed the point IMO, but each to his own I guess. The only good thing from Infiniti arriving is the hope that my satnav can be upgraded.

^^ they might fit.. but you can be sure the markup the Australian dealers will put on them will be far more than the shipping costs from USA.

Yeah i'm guessing the dealers here will be more expensive. Might as well get them shipped. Do they fit well after i take the hamburger off though or do they look dodgy?

Ah, so they do have Infiniti branding eh? I'll trawl away then. Cheers. As for the whole rebadging thing, I've already explained myself before in this thread ... purely aesthetic. Nothing to do with resale value at all since I get attached to my vehicles. I wouldn't have bought this car if my J30 Maxima wasn't written off.

Have you read post #105 in this thread? Look up so I don't have to appear like a broken record.

Completely agree with you on resale value... There may be a small increase, but you wouldn't do all that work for the sole purpose of resale.

i know its not relevant in this case, but my thoughts would be:

id assume most of the population would see the exotic INFINITI as the proper brand since it is in the showroom, and see nissan as the asian imitator... and then get put off by seeing "boring old nissan" on the vin plates, relating it to a cheap copy of a good car. much like the old VR commodore/lexcen thing where people put commodore badges on the outside. it was still the same car but nobody wanted the lexcen

But also in saying that, the "old school" skyline and JDM obsessors will still know what it is and i'm sure when Infiniti goes on sale here in Oz the Sales people will be educated that they are in fact Nissans and will more than likely be told to explain this to customers

Ahh right sorry mate. There's quite a few online advertised for G37 and G35 sedan should they all be the same or do they differ?

Edit: i meant G35 and G37 Infiniti grille emblem

G35 has the 3.5L engine.. G37 has the 3.7L engine.. infiniti model numbers signify engine size.. not series.

G35 = 350GT

Based on the vehicle in your profile here, that's what you need to aim for. I'm not really sure if there are any differences with the grille emblems but it's best to play it safe.

Sorry Greg i should have been more clear. I was talking about the Infiniti grille emblem. Not sure if they were the same for the G35 and G37. I asked the seller if the G35 sedan Infiniti grille emblem was the same, he said he's not too sure.
