HI All,

Ok I'm at a loss on what's going on with my horn and fog lamp. I've searched and read all the forum threads and am still lost.

The clock spring is ok, the fuse is not blown, there is power in the stalk, the horn itself is not blown, the relay for both the horn and the fog lamp is clicking over...

The only thing that I can pinpoint right now is that there doesn't seem to be any power at either the horn side or the fog lamp side. Could there be either something loose in between or something causing high impedance?

Anyone else have any ideas or have experienced something similar?

Cheers

I am lead to believe there might be a general earth point for everything.

Hopefully someone might have the same issue, then again there's next weekend. Beer & BBQ my place again lol

same thing with me never fixed it lol but my horn issue is in my stearing some lose wires i can hear them when turning stearing wheel do not want to touch it because im scared of air bag going off lolz any ideas or places to goto lol and for fog lamps would like to know also

go to an auto electrician?

If you have a test light turn you fog lights on and check for power at the back of the light. if you dont have power its not an earth problem.

If you have someone there to help you can also have them hold the horn on and check for power at the horn.

just because you hear the realy clicking doesnt mean it is actually working. best way to check is to remove the relay and using the test light you should have 2 power sources with the lights on and one earth. Then if possible place the relay back in but not all the way and see if you can put your test light onto the terminal that didnt have power. if it has power the relay is working. if not probably faulty.

If you do have power coming out stat following the lool and look for a broken wire or a disconnected plug

what a kick up the arse!

Turns out Taff's relays were BOTH busted, what are the chances of that? Saying they both clicked over but didn't close the circuit hence no horn no foglight.

The moral of the story.. having the relay clicking over doesn't mean that it's still working.

Better to check and replace a dead relay for $5 than to trace and rip up the whole loom, take off everything and lots of confused swearing.
