I like cops, they have a hard job dealing with idiots druggies and drunks, if I was a cop I think I would end up getting in trouble for belting all the mouthy idiots and the scum that are everywhere.

They drag dead and dying bodies out of cars, clean up the mess after some scum has bashed his partner or kids, chase down scum who bash people for fun or the money in their pocket, things like this give people a short amount of time for idiots, they put themselves on the line for me and my family.

Are you going to put yourself in front of a meth crazed junkie to protect my family ???

COPS ARE TOPS

The cops are taught to look at they way people dress and behave, if you are a hoody wearing pants down around your knees kind of guy then you will be looked at, same thing if you look punk, emo, goth, metalhead, are you from a poorer area wearing top dollar clothes, they look at stereo typical types of fashion, also your personal apperance has a lot to do with it, if you have bags under your eyes or look half asleep, have bad skin you will be looked at.

This is their job, this is how they work, when the cops are hassling you they do it for a reason, they wait for your reaction, if you get aggro or your facial apperance gets dark then they will push.

Simple psycology is simple.

Yeah well I no alot about psychology but some of these guys definety are on massive power trip and I'd definety say it's the nsw police force are the worst I've ever come across the Queensland force are definety alot more calm and easy going but look at the tossers in nsw so i don't blame half there hard add attitude u get spoken to like crap all day ya gonna talk to people like crap I happens to unfortunately roll into 2 police road blocks an the way i was spoken to was a joke police only have a right to enforce the law if it's broken they don't have any rights unless you break those laws but they need to calm

Down on the modification stuff chops springs and bald tires yeah ok but none of this over board shit it's the idiot p platers that makes us look bad in there fully sick commys bloody worst cars ever some of us love modifying our cars because it's a weekend activity for fun ya know new stereo lights it's like what awesome thing can I do next and yet sounds like the cops are going way over board but yet again I no some really decent cops that are bloody unreal fellers but some are crooked and need to get reported if it was for them idiots on tv dropping skids aca footage we would be fine thanks to them it's all gonna change

Ill put this forward as an example.

Driving down a road in the 33. I was doing 80, cop comes up behind me *pwooo* yay my face drops. (Not condoning speeding, it was near 11pm and I've just been driving for 2 hours, just wanted to get home)

Cop pulls me up,

Me: Good evening sir

Cop: Any reason why you were speeding

Me: No sir, just want to get home

Cop: license (handed over)

wait for about 2 minutes

Cop: (hands me a fine for doing 10 over) Have you got a engineering certificate?

Me: For what sir

Cop: For your wheels, exhaust and that gauge

Me: No sir, wasnt aware that I needed one for those modifications (I was truelly unaware)

Cop: We will have to get that checked out

Me: Ok (poker face)

Cop: But I'm a bit busy tonight (cop gives license and fine and walks away)

Bottom line

Yes Sir No Sir May I have another Sir

Don't worry to much about it,when you get old and drive a liner they don't even look twice at ya.

LOL, me to.

Most times I get pulled over the cops look in the window and go "um err, we are pulling you up for a random breath test" they then walk back to their car and get the thingie.

Some times they ask about the mods and I give them my folder with the rego, insurance, cams licence, engineers report, they then have a chat about the car, ask me how fast it is, I usually say "its pretty quick but it would be even quicker with a better nut behind the wheel, I laugh, they laugh, and then Im on my way.

Works the same when Ive been pulled in and the RTA are there doing vehicle checks.

Never a problem.

    • Haha thanks everyone, I'll take everyone's suggestions into consideration. If I do eventually choose a car ill post it here update on the mods I do.
    • I found the ingredients at larger amounts from a Coffee Shop. 1kg Citric Acid for €8.50 500g Baking Soda for €2.50 I tried it out tonight distilled water (I got from my ACs) and dish soap. It does get bubbly with dish soap. In just two hours the hanger has improved significantly and rubbing against any remaining rust seems to flake it off. I'm going to leave it a little bit longer and see how it goes. I have read that someone even used this solution in an ultrasonic cleaner to clean a seized water pump which brought it back to life.
    • If you like more modern stuff than the R series, you should check out a V37 400R, they are pretty mod friendly
    • Haha luckily we don't have emissions, inspections, or any laws against power adders here. They only thing they somewhat keep an eye out for are ridiculously loud exhausts.
    • Just wanted to pop in an update on my setup. The CD swap has been great, I love the mazworks housing for the overall simplicity. I ended up sealing my trans tunnel with a thin sheet of aluminum reused some of the holes on the trans tunnel, and laid some window sealing EPS foam around the edges. Works great, really quieted things down and sealed up the car.  As for the power comment. Right now I am also running about 650whp. with the way the bell housing is attached to the face of the transmission I have zero doubts it would be fine, mainly because the input shaft and main shaft bearings are seated into the bell housing adapter. This means the load is NOT on the bolts to maintain the power, rather into he casing of the bell housing; Yes the bolts are doing some work there, but with both shafts locked in zero worries.  End of the day, the Mazworks solution is the easiest and safest. no need to take your trans to a shop to get milled perfectly, it fits with minimal clearancing, and you can use all your existing clutch and flywheel.  Driving wise the CD has been great compared to the big box, I'll probably swap my final drive at some point. The serial 9 shifter is gooooood, my only qualm is how tight it is, it takes a fair bit to get use to, 5th and 6th are a bit eh/hard to find at times, but maybe I need re-adjusting, and I think my clutch master is very tired and needs a rebuild.
