"Here is the upgrade solution for GTR owners. Stock frame units from 850hp to 1250hp, stock compressor cover and stock turbine housing. Fitting our 11blade billet or titanium compressor wheels, ball bearing CHRAs and bigger turbine wheels from Inconel or Titanium. Many combos. Technology meets quality"

Huge thread on another forum about these guys, a lot of impressive claims but not many (or any) independant people running their hardware to back up some of the insane claims of the quality of their products. One of the top American Honda tuners put one of Extreme's "ultra efficient" turbos onto their drag Civic - tuned it, and then moved on to a Precision turbo within weeks... so until (or if) more of their product proves itself in the market I'm taking it with a grain of salt.

i took codral flu tablets yesterday on an empty stomach. the pain was unbearable.

im fairly sure my turd a few hours later had in excess of 1250hp behind it.

dude! wtf do you think you are doing? It clearly states on the medication not to take them on an empty stomach. Geez!

If I order right now do I get the free Ginsu Knives?

Looks like VQ rather than RB twins being IHI...

Pretty much sums up the typically wild claims of most of these ventures.

Just tell em kon Artistopoulos sent you

Care to elaborate what the actual point of the thread is?

Are you asking if they are decent or trying to promote a business?

They have built some pretty cool stuff, and like to try and push the boundries - or say they are, but there have been a few cases where not all has turned out to be as fancy (on their behalf) as they made out. One of the funnier examples was when they were talking about "their" neat cams, pistons, and custom 4G63 billet blocks etc - and posted a pic straight from Billet AU's website of a billet SR20 block :D

All the while I find it funny because they're speaking Greek on the fb page.

Never take a Greek mechanics word for anything. Except mine, coz im just an e mechanic which makes it all better.

lesson learnt re 1250hp codral.

Well talking about dragging back one from the dead

Ive always watched what Spyros did with great amazement, its a tough one.

He def proved the yanks wrong with his shop/parts/evo etc who said he was completely fos but his social media, lack of engagement and bold claims without much proof leaves people scratching their head.

Im gonna go out on a limb and say he's the real deal though but he talks it up a bit

for eg his fb page going back 9 yrs is filled with amazing stuff, iirc he's a former mclaren f1 engineer - his shop is def getting orders that much is obv with the cool stuff it makes

His turbos from 6-7 years ago look more efficient thinner much more complex to machine than the GT series let alone the equivalent GTX series of the day.

Look how his blades are bent and curved from the center to the outer. look at a GT and GTX and now G-series how they moved more towards this shape over the years, the same shape you now see in Rolls Royce Trent engine on a 777 or 787 - compare that with a T88-33d for eg

Billet Vr38 heads 7yrs ago
His claims are quite extraordinary but so are the gorgeous pieces he's made for eg the rods, pistons turbos cranks etc
He's the only person i can find that makes billet Tungsten alloy crankshafts DLC coated the same as F1 and he just happens to make a short stroke one for an RB26 that he claims is good for 12,000rpm

His claims for his lambo turbo kits are outrageous, Aventador 1000whp on 2.75psi on stock fuel system

13.8:1 cr v10 understroked 5l claiming it can make 5000hp lol - i think this is where he loses people
image.thumb.png.9ab125061b706354c803d01ae27da851.pngor is he just way ahead of the game

its a shame he only posts once every 4-5yrsimage.thumb.png.9ab125061b706354c803d01ae27da851.png

If i had the money id take the plunge on his RB stroker and full CF turbos

    • I would paint match the whole thing to avoid unwanted attention  I had a similar bonnet, paint matched, on my old R33 GTST, but mine was a fibreglass jobbie made by Blitz in QLD, they work extremely well for radiator efficiency and under bonnet temps
    • Does anyone run this kit with factory plenum? Does the adapter and bosch tb fit under factory strut brace? I wanted to get this setup before going forward facing manifold. Thanks
    • small update time, after always wanting a "cool" looking bonnet for my car and always struggling to find one for the series 2 that i liked and wasn't an insane amount of money. Saw one i liked on RHDjapan from D-speed in Japan the price was very good for a carbon bonnet so good infact i was a little unsure how much i trusted it, decided to bite the bullet and with the help of jesse streeter in not long at all it was at my door. Once it was delivered i ran in from work and quickly unboxed it and to my surprise the quality was actually pretty good i quickly removed the old bonnet and placed on the new one to test it out and even the fitment wasnt too bad at all. Then decided to paint the little grille in the bonnet black to stop it sticking out so much.   I decided to not mess around with the hood latch and just install some aero catch hood pins, having never installed them before did some YouTube university classes and i was good to go. fair to say it is not a fun job at all from making brackets so the pins sit nicely and actually cutting through the bonnet but also being very scared of cutting the holes too big it took wayyyy longer than i would like to admit but finally got it there. Then it was time for a quick test drive to ensure the latches actually worked and thankfully the bonnet looked very stable. I still think paint matching the bonnet and leaving just the part that sticks up as carbon would help make it all look alot neater as im not sure how i feel about all that carbon on a very fridge white car but will leave it as is and see how i feel with time.
    • I think it's bound to happen, you finally get it all perfect, and bam, something will happen. I took a while to get a Commodore rear quarter repaired where a P Plater clipped it. Two days after getting it back, Sarah wiped it out on a concrete pillar in an underground car park... This is why I take forever to repair them, it stretches how long until it gets bent again... 😛
    • Nah, not really responsible for that little fiasco, but I'm still pissed at myself for writing off my 86, or when I reversed my VX into a pole just before selling it, but, meh, 5hit happens to stuff, all it takes is a slight distraction, and life is full of distractions, and "dooh" moments
