I have an r32 gts4 and have followed the tutorial on how to bleed the system albeit may be a shortened one not sure.

Couple of issues I've had are: Does the car need to be perfectly level?

Does the transfer case need to be full when bleeding the line?

When the pump engages is it loud or is it just a click sound and its pumping?

I have checked the pump out to see if its pumping by getting someone to connect and disconnect the airlock bleed connector in the foot panel and i can feel it clicking on and off but it's VERY quite in operation and it almost seems like its not pumping IE like a fuel pump. I'm just a little confused on the issue as i am a first time backyarder to this operation. also can it possibly be gravity bled?? and when people say that the fluid needs to be 30mm above this line then 5mm below that one and then your meant to have 5mm of clear space in the reservoir..........................WTF are they talking about wouldn't it just be maintain the fluid in the reservoir so that it doesn't run out????

The easiest way to bleed it is, run the car on the hoist with the bleed nipple cracked (make sure your ATTESA resevoir is full). The pump noise isnt too loud at all. Make sure you have a nice steady stream of fluid coming out the nipple and make sure all wheels are turning on the hoist. Hope that helps

mate legend thanks alot, did get the pump working just recently and bleeding well but the dash light is still on, thinking i still have air in the system would this be the case???
What did you do to get the pump working? I can't get my to even come on

Attessa is a mystery to most. Theoretically if you can find the Attessa ECU (on a Stagea its in the boot wall LHS on a Skyline it may be under the parcel shelf) there is a light which can be made to produce fault codes. The British GTR site has a few articles on the Attessa.

BTW there are two bleeding nipples - the one at the back of the transfer case and another above the (rear) diff.

      This could be sold and shipped to the US for many gold pieces. RMS has no say in that. Ask various Western Sydney inhabitants how it works.

      Ha ha ha, mine loves to spend, all on the dogs (they're our kids, and her spending would likely rival that of some people raising children!) the only benefit is, her spending is tax deductible as she runs a business in the dog industry 😛 The above all means she can spend race car budget quicker than I can. 😛 That and a lot of the things I want are very expensive, and I can be a bit "you want how much for that?!" And at other times overly impulsive. Or I start the w days of research, get to day 1.5 and get really annoyed that no one will advertise actual specifics and it's just marketting BS and I go "well, now I don't want anything to do with that now!" Also I hate paying lots of money for something I can make from $50 in materials. Then I get the shits halfway through making things and wonder why others who just buy parts have more fun... 😛

      Their 240Z with the RB26 would be a real nice thing to have in a garage to come out for an occasional weekend cruise It's such a cool thing in so many ways Sadly, we have a blue 240Z shell that I walk past every day, just sitting outside a shed at work, it has been slowly disintegrating and falling apart into the ground for the last few years, the owner cannot be found, and I am unable to "claim it" I've been told by work and the RMS, the rust in the body is excessive though, and it has had most of the salvageable stuff, like panels, trim and switch gear stripped off it over the last year or two, work keeps threatening to put it in one of our metal scrap bins, I wish they did though, as it makes Mark sad walking past it

      Good tips, I like it! 😂😂 My wife is a LOT more frugal than me so it's only me we need to worry about! A splurge to her is buying 2 pairs of socks in one visit at Kmart!

      Haha, the appropriate response to the question "Is this new?" is "I've had this for a while.". With the unspoken small print that a while may be the time since this morning or five years ago   And to be fair I learned that from the best, i.e. my wife. Because it goes both ways.
