hey guys , so put my part list together,

Engine Oil + Filter(motul 4100 + bosch filter) $90 from ebay -> http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/180807279703?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

fuel filter = $40 from Kudo Motorsports

Transmission Fluid - 2 x Transmax Z 4L = $150 from supercheap(cant seem to find it online ANYWHERE)

Coolant = $50 from supercheap (what would you guys recommend and how much needed for full flush?)

brake Fluid - 2x motul dot5.1 = $60 from ebay -> http://www.ebay.com....984.m1438.l2649

Diff Oil - 2x Motul Gear FF LSD Type 2 75W90 1.0L = $103 -> http://www.ebay.com....=item2a1d46058c

Timing belt kit + ancillary kit - kudo motorsports = $520

coolant hoses - $115 from ebay -> http://www.ebay.com....984.m1438.l2649

= $1128

Anything else you guys would recommend I add for the 100k service? A part that would be better suited? Lemme know :)

OMFG why ebay?

Motul 4100 is cheaper instore (like $45-55), a Ryco filter is like $10-15

I hope you have an automatic transmission if putting Transmax Z in (don't put this in Getrag 6 speeds, they need genuine fluid)

Wow I can get genuine Nissan coolant concentrate cheaper than that.

Brake Fluid: Motul RBF600 is cheaper (like $30-35 a bottle at bike shops) and higher boiling point than 5.1

Diff oil might be pointless if it's a viscous LSD (just need regular oil for them)

Don't touch cheap silicone, they're shit. Just go with genuine Nissan hoses or Gates (cheaper than genuine) hoses

You may also want to list what your car actually is.

hmm this has given me alot to think about

Car is 1997 Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-25t S2

Automatic Gearbox

Pretty sure the diff is limited slip

Reason im ordering from eBay is because its SO much easier then having to find a store that stocks that and then pick some up...however can you direct me to a store that stocks Motul(always assumed eBay was substantially cheaper though....)

My radiator hoses looked like they where letting go and cracking , assumed silicon ones would of sufficed(with an apparent 12 month warranty). If they are utter rubbish then I'L just go with oem , but even the oem ones are around $120 for just the bottom and top radiator hoses....

Guys if any of you know of places be it online or in actual shops that stock these items please let me know

cheers

As I said before, if it's a viscous LSD which you have unless you've taken a mechanical diff off a GTR or put an aftermarket LSD in, the LSD part on a viscous diff is sealed. LSD oil won't hurt it but it is $100 down the drain though.

As for oil, check for alternatives in the "Goods on oils" sticky in this forum because $80 will buy you a *proper* synthetic oil at supercheap if that's the only local store near you. Examples are GW syn-x 6000, royal purple HPR, castrol edge, motul 8100 x-cess/x-max, penrite racing 10 tenths etc. Motul 4100 while great, is still but a semi-synth, $90 + filter is just too much for it.

$40 fuel filter? z201 is $26 at supercheap

cheers guys , throughly spent days looking through all the threads I could find before coming down to this list.

hmm , Ive bought from supercheap before and while I know their tools arent comparable to what they stock...I just feel like its a shitty budget store for the common falcondore owner....guess i need to get that thinking out of my head....just that i dont think ive ever seen brands like motul and royal purple in my local supercheap store, also service and the knowledge of those who work there are horrendous...and way overpriced....

will Ryco oil /fuel filters be sufficient for my needs? ( only looking to get around 230-250rwkw on a safe tune)

thanks for the advice , will look elsewhere for oil and just pickup a ryco filter(if it will suffice for my power figure and be as reliable as can be)

only doing this service once and while Im certainly not the richest person on this board , I want to do it once and do it right, with the best parts available.

    • Getting Dangerously close to being ready to go back in the car. Rockers in with clearance castings now (and a quick check with the USA for the torque settings for the larger custom bolts) Covers and ported FAST Manifold sitting on there. Not fully tightened down as there's some clearancing required for the water pump with the earlier LS1 water pump styles. Example of the clearancing needing to be done: The body has to be ground a little but I'm struggling finding an actual piece of it. The later variant of water pump resolves the issue as the manifold was designed around it. It only came on the VZ LS1 in Australia, it got a different pulley for Gen4 motors. (it also costs $450... vs... $0).

    • Oh...I have the electric mirrors as well iirc ...they're in the same state as just about every other R31 door mirrors, with the 3 plastic screw towers broken/cracked in the plastic molding. All the interior is 'dry', so the mirror switches etc likely all work fine. Some pics below of the trimmer pieces ~ looks to me like previous owner, painted chrome finished trims with black paint ...ergo, the chrome underneath is likely a-ok... ...starts to look yukky posting stuff like this, how much did it cost in fuel on your last sortie up this way?...me just thinking aloud, borrow someone else's 4cyl to cut costs, come do your own pick'n'pull like before to save me some bother...hehe.. but whatever, I'll just earmark bits I know you want, because the way this is all panning out, I'll be able to retire the R31 from daily duty at long last, replacing it with a Subaru wagon I'm lining up in the wings...ergo, my attitude towards the donor pinny shell is starting to wane a bit, and I'm more than happy to help you out there... Like you say though, no rush...and I'll guarantee we won't be moving too far from this locale at any rate 😎
