No catch, if anyone has issues with my low post count and no trading history your welcome to review my user on supraforums, i am a well established user on there and antilag. Package was for my supra but ive changed direction, this is advertised on all other forums so i imagine it wont be around for long, stuff like this at this price never usually reaches the forums.

What car/team are the fronts coming from??

I've been looking for a set recently and none of the guys I deal with have anything decent.....

Every supercar Alcon Ive seen has had a different bridge and pad retainer Inc the calipers I pulled of an ex GRM chassis just this afternoon Those look alot like ex Indy/champ car calipers?

Aren't they "prototype" lemans calipers?

Stickers peeling up seem to indicate they are the same calipers advertised before....

Well if you read the title you may notice the word "part package" and as for the fronts, you obviously dont know the right people, you do realise that they are getting rid of alcon as the supplier because ap racing won the bid.

As for the caliper being a Daytona prototype, yes its from a 2010 riley daytona prototype, much better caliper than the rear that they use in the V8's similar design, pistons are slightly larger and so is the body size, the v8 alcon has stainless steel pistons and a solid bridge.

I dont just live in the world of V8 supercars, i have engineers in lemans teams over in the US and Germany.

The reason i am including the v8 caliper in as a kit because its a good match with the rear that is in the kit, i can get any other 6 piston caliper.

Go worry about other stuff if you not interested, but thanks for the free bump.

I wast aware GRM, techno, 888 and pmm were the wrong people to talk too.

I was actually interested in them and my question about where the fronts were coming from was serious. due to the component change over I know alot of places selling off rubbish that's been tarted up over the years.

"Interested" You sound like the biggest time waster of them all, as for knowing all those teams if you where in the "know" then why dont you have a kit already seeings as you get 1st hand on every caliper there, and as for flogged out calipers, here's one going atm, so much for seasoned old tarted up stuff.

Brand new not even been used at a fraction of the price.

I think you are barking up the wrong tree, risking probably has a list of customers wanting any good used stuff that he can get his hands on, which explains why he is the only person on here that was interested

I have actualy had quite a few enquires and risking wasn't one, im not fussed if someone wants it they will buy it. maybe viewers are waiting for that "price drop" post, i can asure that wont happen, i would rather keep it than sell for less.

Several customers, I have a prioritized list infact of people asking for parts.

Fasttrack are looking for taxi calipers and rotors for some new cars they are building. I had these

in mind for them.

Marshal (one of the owners) would tell me to buy every caliper I possibly can that's serviceable.

I have a car from every stable mentioned other than tekno so why wouldn't I be incontact with

said places regularly....

If your offering those Alcon calipers pictured new, and rotors like you advertised I'll take everything you have and I'll update some of the cars from AP's to these.

No I didn't.

I dont get alot of demand for ex Indy stuff and one of my suppliers came through with a heap of good AP & Alcon touring car gear so I bought all that up instead.

    • I'm hoping I just don't have to do an engine rebuild NOW. Doesn't mean I won't do it at some point. I think a plus point is that the car presumably ran on or close to stock power nearly all it's life so far. Only the Owner I bought it from actually increased power with a standalone ECU and blew the OEM turbos. And after it got thee 2860s it wasn't driven an awful lot either.   That is what I meant. With the twins coming on so late (4500-5000rpm) I hope the rods won't want to exit the block prematurely. And it still being a 26 means the torque curve isn't gonna hike up all that much.   It didn't blow up on the dyno when they tuned it to 500ish crank. So I suppose it'll be okay for now. They did put a Tomei head gasket on first though which did not seal at all, and they redid it with a Cometic one. Which I hope won't be my water leak.   Mainly anything oil. So far all it has is the N1 pump, oil restrictor and a filter relocation kit with a cooler.
    • 15000? ish? Something like that anyway. It wasn;t so much a wear as a tear that then spread. Might have lasted a lot longer if not bothered by just one incident, whatever it was. I took a punt. They are really comfortable and do a good job of holding. My daughter HATED it when I first put them in, and probably still does now. She has sensory issues and hates the way they are all up your business. I'm 197cm and 95kg. Not fat or particularly wide, and the XL size seat is the rigth fit. If I was any fatter it would start to get too snug. Any skinnier and you'd possibly want the smaller width.
    • Mrs rs focus came factory with recaro cs  sportsters in it and they a pain in the ass to get in and out of with the really high bolsters, once you were in them they were one of the most comfortable seats I have ever sat in
    • The NA 2.5 has very little torque. You won't feel much. Those trannies are also a million years old now and it could well be f**ked. First generation electronically controlled autos will often refuse to kick down, ete, etc, depending on what's wrong with them.
    • Yes, but no but yes but no. Those "it's fine up to 500HP" rules and everything else like it were all determined back when the cars were 10 years old. As they are now 30 years old.....what do you reckon the chances of something shitting the bed are? I'd say they are much higher now than they used to be. You might be lucky. You might be unlucky. Spin the wheel and find out. Yeah, nah. It's actually exactly the opposite. Making boost early and having heaps of torque able to be generated right in the middle of the rev range will do more to damage an engine than having to rev it high to make the power. Think about the load on the conrods, bearings, etc, to make 400HP at 4000 rpm, vs 400 HP at 6500 rpm. So someone has already "let the Nissan out" which is how we describe the increased chance of a fiddled with engine to have had something done wrongly. Many more engines that have been opened die than stock ones do - even if you into consideration how they are treated wrt power levels and the like. Again, not saying that yours will definitely have been put back together by a moron. But the possibility does exist. It's still a lottery. Spin the wheel. What weakspots?
