Dear All,

I have this annoying sound that comes and goes whenever it feels like. More when its colder i find.

I believe it has something to do with the clutch but I just dont know.

I had clutch replaced 8,000kms ago with a cushion button from UAS, handles great a bit of a pain at the start but im used to it.

This sound occurs when the car is neutral, with clutch peddle out. it also occurs with clutch peddle in however i do notice a slight difference when in. It goes away once in gear and the car is moving.

Either a bearing is gone, but i thought this would be replaced when the clutch was.... and if so how can it go after 8,000kms or its something else and before i go back to the mechanic i thought i'd ask around. Any help would be much appreciated as i feel like spraying a whole can of WD40 till i find it lol!!!

The car is an R33 GTR non-vspec, and i recorded the sound as i was warming up car so it may sound a bit revier than the norm..

sorry guys had to link it as it went over 2MB..

Chris.

Thanks boys, next question...

Should this have been replaced when the clutch was done? and if not, how much am i looking at to fix what i estimate to be a less than $50.00 bearing? im mechancially minded but not to the extent of ripping motors and gearboxes out lol simpleton at best.

Chris

it shouldve been replaced but maybe the bearing seemed fine when the clutch was done?its a gearbox off job to swap the bearing out so expect the major part of what you pay to be labour. . .
