sweet. i should be entering then! need some tax money to get the car ready.

Small field of Nissans ,lots of beemers..

So....any tips from peeps that know Sandown. ? Seeing as we just jumped in the deep end here...

stay away from walls. they are all very close. and figure out when you need to brake on the front straight. or you will end up in the sand like I did.

Main straight and back straight...

Dave, it's all about maximising the straights. Get on the power as early as you can out of 4 and the last corner, knocking 10kmh off the mid corner into those corners and getting the car settled will give you much more time at the other end.

Brake early at turn 1, there is stuff all to be made up in the braking zone. Power done is what it's all about.

1.30-32 should be the aim.

Yeh the walls are close, but aren't they always...

Well it's kind of pointless for me to attend then because of the sound detectors. Screw having to take it easy on the straight

Even if I plumbed it In my car is much louder than martins and if he got warned, they are going to just boot me.. And it would be 3.5" not 3"

Lol this makes me nervous

It's my very first track day ever!

You'll be fine. Far less likely to a hit wall than to go through a guard rail in the mountains.

I like Sandown, local. Get to be home early.

I'm doing Sept 16th @ Winton with MelbS15 and Tampered. This should be a good one, with a heap of nice cars out on track.

Yeh the melbs15 group have asked me to attend the winton day. Apparently they don't care about noise at winton. Might look into it, would definitely be a good day I think

Mate, it makes no difference if its your 1st or 100th.

I have done 30+ trackdays with my bike at PI and I still get the shits every morning before the 1st session. Good level of nervousness makes your reflexes faster

Its much less friendlier to the rotors though.

Yeh my dba's had little fine cracks all over them.. But cool down laps probably weren't happening as they should. Novice.
