Hi guys might be a stupid question but what model gtr bov should you recommend or are they all the same?

I got defected with mine venting to atmo, I have an aftermarket plenum, stock bottom and aftermarket top half.

If my intake doesn't have a port to recirculate can I plumb it into my airbox? Or will that be not enough to pass defect clearance?

The air still gets remetered through the AFM. No go.

They both should be, the stock Stagea one I used ran 30psi fine once I plugged up the 4mm bleed hole with a grub screw. Now I have fitted the Turbosmart Kompact plumb back with a stiff spring. Its better but requires maintenance/lubing unlike the factory ones.

Well.. it was made for 13psi.. not 25psi.. Not sure if it will hold up and honestly not interesting in doing the test myself jsut to find out I have to re-do it agian because its leaking.

Just to explain how a BOV works and why more boost pressure shouldn't make it more likely to leak, the BOV has a diaphragm with a spring in it, so you have boost pressure on one side of it (the intake) and then you have boost pressure + spring pressure on the other side holding it closed (via the vac line)

So if you have 13psi running through your engine, you also have 13psi in the bov + spring pressure holding it closed, if you are running 25psi then you also have 25psi + spring holding it closed. So the more boost pressure you run, the more pressure is applied to keep it closed.

thanks!

I've got turbo smart dual port. The trumpet faces up on a 45 and was blowing the sound deadening on the bonnet apart. Removed the trumpet and blocked the port with a piece of ally so now it's full plumb back. Just another negative of atmo bov's
