Ideally you want to see a range of minimum 13.0v to 14.4v maximum with it running. Compare the HKS turbo timer voltage readout with a multimeter @ the battery, the timer could be wrong.

Sounds like the voltage regulator on the alternator needs replacing, that or the alternator isn't grounding properly and needs a seperate ground.

ahhh ill measure this tonight. it was pretty bad a few weeks ago, as the negative on the bat was connected to a small plate in the boot. i detached it ran it thru the original grommet and attached it to the same earth point as the hicas braided earth lines under the car. it seemed to stabilize for a few days but now its dancing all over the place again. thin it could be the rectifier then.
