Hi all,

So I did a service on my R34 GT-R V-Spec (Oil, oil filter, front/rear diffs, gearbox, coolant & spark plugs) & fitted a Trust 13 row Oil Cooler with Re-locator. As I couldnt get the oil filter off (trying a few different types of universal oil filter wrenches) I ended up damaging it... now to cut a long story short I ended up taking the inlet manifold off & was then able to get it.

Now after all work was completed I had the car running to bleed the coolant and check for any leaks. At first I didnt have the rev issue, but as the car warmed up I noticed that I couldnt rev past 2,400RPM. Even when I go full throttle, It just missfires and doesnt go any higher. So I had a look around & noticed a slight leak from the oil cooler relocator plate...which ultimately led to some oil getting into the Ignition control module electrical connection. (If thats what it is called... I have attached an image for ref).

So I figured that maybe that was the problem, so I took the ignition control module off & sprayed it with some CRC Automotive Electrical Contact Cleaner (taking each individual pin out and spraying it), but that didnt solve the problem either :(

Would the AAC valve have something to do with it?

Cheers for any help guys!

(P.S - sorry for making it so long but just wanted to make sure we are on the same page)

Sounds like limp mode, possibly tps as you have been in there, or AFM's?

Well thats one problem solved! But I had the car running again and noticed there is still a little bit of oil leaking from 2 of the 4 earls' connections. It appears to be leaking from the 'skinnier' blue hex nut... in between the larger red/other blue one. I have attached a pic for reference.

How do I tighten this one?? :/

Thanks again for any help that you guys can give me. Legends!!

2 spanners

1 on the blue one, 1 on the red one, and twist both in their respective clock wise direction. (the will be away from each other)

So when you say the blue one, you mean the skinny one right?
