In Sweden, 99% of all RB26's running more than 650bhp uses E85 (and that is a few dozen).

Good.

It keeps the engine cooler.

It keeps knock levels lower.

More power and faster spool up at the same boost due to possibility of running more aggresive ignition.

It's enviromentaly good.

Bad.

You need to change your engine oil more often, the alcohol thins out your engine oil faster than normal gas.

It requires roughly 1/3 more fuel compared to normal gas.

It requires more power from your coils/spark plugs.

Old fuel lines might start leaking because alcohol dries gum.

The standard fuel pump will break pretty fast.

We run a couple of RB's on E85, pros and cons as above, we use aftermarket ECU LINK, fuel consumption is just under a thrid more, use an ethanol specific oil, GULF or similar and change it every 5000kms, we change oil after every 2nd event. You will need to keep a check on your fuel pump sock filter as they can gum up.
