Currently getting my rb26 built with forged internals,

Already running a decent setup with 2860-5, injector Dynamics 1000cc's , haltech etc...

Greddy cams gears installed.

Wondering if cams would make a decent further upgrade, other people seem to be unsure in the forums whether it's worth it or not.

any idea's whether it's worth the extra cash?

For $700 or so the tomei poncams 260 deg 9.15mm lift (had these in my 32R with 2530's) go well if you are after 330-400WKW, mainly allow you to run less boost for the same kw output as stock cams and increase torque.

There are also others like, jun, HKS 264's, but check out the RB26 dyno results to see what others are getting out of their setups.

No worries :D

BP 98 should get 360-390 at 20-22PSI, 400 plus at 25PSI, but all setups differ.

Run a 4 inch full exhaust with 3 inch into 4 inch front pipe, that should help too.

E85, 400 kw+ easy, but your injectors and fuel pump will need upgrading...

I want 400 too, as I plan to go -5's as well.

Sean Nailed it. i'm getting a -5 system for 98 built atm with 2x3"-4" exhaust, 260 poncams etc - would love VCT :-( though...next year maybe.

If your worried about the noise of the 4" exhaust, do what i'm doing and v-clamp the system. I have a 2nd 3" Ti catback exhaust thats super quite that i plan use on the street and keep the 4" for track days etc. Its a 15min (if that) jop to swap em over with the v-clamp.

Get a mines style (equal length) front pipe with a flex joint made up too for best results.

Talk to the person that built the motor. Find out what was done to the head etc.

Could be better off with stock cams, could be better off with slightly larger ones. All depends on the setup.

I made 360rwkw on 19psi on a track tune with stock cams and a modified head and -5s for instance.
