Im fitting a top feed fuel rail and the only problem is there is a outlet from the intake manifold that a hose connects upto, its an r33 stock manifold and the outlet is underneath and between the throttle body and the aac inline with cylinder 5ish, this is in the way and running on the rail by a about 3mm.

so ive dropped the manifold off at a fabrication shop to have it relocated.. the other end runs under the manifold and connect underneath and inline with about cylinder 2

what does this do and is it important???

Also on a separate issue, i had a large vacumn leak from the front of the manifold (top half part) , but the gasket is all in one piece and the bolts were not loose, it wouldnt be possible for the intake manifold to worp would it??? should i just put the new gasket on with some goo or do i need to give this more attention?

Sounds like the air regulator your talking about. Port comes down from 5 then valve is above oil cooler then other side goes back up can't remember where to but at front somewhere

The manual says to check manifolds with a straight edge with 1 thou tolerance. Check while it's off
