Hey guys,

I just recently bought a set of led tail lights off ebay for my R34, but damn they are super bright...

Was wondering if there was any kind of way to adjust the brightness of them?

I'm scared to drive at night cause I don't wanna blind anyone :P

Cheers,

John

Take a pic. LED tail lights are usually bright, but not to the point where it would be annoying for the car behind you. They may appear bright but when driving, may be different. Can you link me the ones you got off ebay? I'm looking for a set myself.

They're okay during the day but at night, god damn I was squinting haha

Well I'm learning about circuitry at uni at the moment so this would be a good learning experience. Would I just splice into one of the wires and add a resistor to each loom?

These are the ones that I got

Xntrq you got a number mate? I'll mms you some of mine on the car

You can put in a trim pot resistor within the value range your after but use care not enough resistance and you will blow the leds the second the power hits

Not sure how they have those wired but you will need to make each ring and brake, tail light adjustable , using a ohm meter once you do one you can match the other exactly so they look even

I'm debating the leds but fear the defect for not being approved ( SA) makes up the rules on the fly lol , once my gtr wing is mounted it has red leds embeded into it now for 3rd brake light so it would look more balanced then standard lights

And I'm sick of Fear of defect for updating i be safer ffs i have police station a few blocks away and it never fails i have one follow me weekly

And still unscathed somehow ? Maybe old age lol

How many people have been defected for these ?

curious

I hate the orange part of the r34 taillights clear looks better

Put the dimmer in, get the desired ohm figure, then go and buy two decent wattage rated ceramic resistors, they'll never die and don't cost the earth.

One mounted in each main earth wire on the incoming loom will fix the whole assembly.
