not that I know of. RB26 always remained the same AFAIK. the way to tell was the lil buldge on the left hand side of the cam cover, I've never seen one on a RB26 even off an R34.

heh...

I think every single person (with the exception of the thread starter possibly) has mixed up Variable VALVE Timing (VVT), Variable Valve Timing and Lift (VVTL) and Variable CAM Timing (VCT)

:(

HKS do make a VCT cam kit but it is very expensive (Andrew may dig it though!) - it was priced perhaps a fair amount more than say Jun cams.

I have not seen any car with it though besides HKS's own demo car and well... that's hardly independent.

If you believe the HKS spiel, response is greatly improved.

T.

well that pic is from Option mag, the car using it is a race car in Tsukuba. Basically the whole story was on V-Cams in this R32 GTR. Not tuned by HKS, was running HKS GT2540x2 Apparently it greatly improves the response of the car out of corners etc.

Its on Page 82 Option2 issue Jan 2004

What's the difference between VCT and VVT? Does one just change the duration and the other the opening time?

BTW I made a thread about this a while back but noone could help - does Nissan make ANY engines with variable timing, duration and lift? The SR20VET is the closest I've seen, but it doesn't seem to control the duration from what I can tell.

Cheers,

Michael
