Hi there everyone. I have just finished rebuilding the bottom end of my 26 and it runs sweet but for one thing my engine idles at 2000 rpm constantly :( we have adjusted the idle screw on the aac valve but it only got it down to about 1400 to 1500 rpm. I really dont know whats wrong with it and have put a full gasket kit through the motor. I have read up heaps on vaccum leaks but none of my lines are leaking and there not mixed around. Please if u have any ideas i would love to hear them. Thanks everyone

Yea i took the throttle bodies off when i was putting the motor back together and gave them a full clean had alot of carbon on them. Thanks mate ill spray some carby cleaner in it anyway and give it a go

Sounds like the sealer on the butterflies has been removed.

unfortunately this,

the butterflies have a wax or teflon( from memory) lining on them to make them seal so by washing them you have removed it so they won't seal any more and to the best of my knowledge there is no easy fix
