Hey guys! Basically decided to take the 34 off the road to give it a good service and some tlc. While I'm doing the spark plugs Iv decided that I wanna do the coil packs as well, so first of does ne one know where the cheapest place is to get these? Whilst on the topic of sparkies, and yes before you ask I have used the search bar but have not really answered my question, do I need to gap down to 0.8 on a standard ign sys or can I leave them at 1?

Second of all I thought while I'm at it I was going to purchase the return flow intercooler kit from just jap since its not my daily I have the time to fit it my self. Would I benefit from the fmic with only my exhaust done and no ecu tune or is it point less? My thought was to just get it all done then later down the track send it in for a ecu/tune....

Any advice from you guys would be great :)

Cheers,

Rob

On standard boost you can run a 1.1mm spark gap just fine. Cheapest good coilpacks = Yellow Jackets. You can buy them from our forum supporter "Performance Wise".

RFIC will help with heatsink on warmer days and give you a little less response than the factory sidemount, but don't expect big power increases until you get the engine tuned / up the boost - it is a supporting mod, not a power mod. That being said, some people say power comes on a little stronger post-FMIC install. There are no huge benefits to doing it before your tune, but there's no harm in setting your car up with supporting mods for down the track. Another supporting mod you might want to get out of the way at the same time is a bigger fuel pump (e.g. Bosch 040).
