Il be getting new wheels in the next few weeks (work xd9 in 18x10 +18)

I need some help choosing tyres, car does around 60/100kms a week street driving, and want to get into drag racing abit, so awesome dry grip tyres is what I'm after, with something around 200 treadwear rating to give me reasonable life on the street

R compounds are out of the question

I'm considering these so far?

Nitto nt05

Toyo R1R but just found out they don't make them in 18" ?

Nitto INVO

Advan a13

Looking at sizes around 245/255 r18

Any feedback from listed tyres that people have used would be great,

Or if you think there's others that would fit my requirements feel free to share :)

Thanks

I'm running nitto invos and Im really happy with them! My car puts out 336kw and with my old nankangs id spin 1st 2nd and 3rd gears now I barely spin in 2nd and 3rd and when they do spin they are COMPLETELY silent! Dunno how long they will last

Nice choice on wheels dude.... What colour you going?

cheers mate, going matte black :)

what about the AD08s, there was a guy at wakefield last time i went the had the KU36s an his 33 GTR and they looked to hold on really good

the nitto invos look cool and come in both 260 and 220 treadware

the INVO 18" tyre size only comes in 260 treadwear...which is still pretty good for life and grip

found afew AD07 and AD08's and seem to be very smimilar to the nitto NT05 which i have read only good things about...

ive narrowed it down to about 3, their are too many reviews on every model, its hard to decide lol

Uh ha, didn't see that bit, but no I think 260 would have very little grip, I think your right about staying to the 200 mark, I have the AD08s on my 32 which are 180 and are AWESOME tyres and they replaced Bridgestone Adrenalines which where 220 and not to bad, I have Falken RT615s on my 34 and they are 220 and are horrible horrible tyres

I'd say go the AD08s or KU36s from my experiences as the best alround tyres

Hey mick have u checked that the xd9s will fit on your car with the brembos? I've got standard sumi's on my car and my xd9s only just clear by about 2mm on the front.

I spode you could run a 2mm spacer if worse comes to worse

Just so happens I have the Nitto Invo on the front and Yokohama Ao46 on the rear. Fantastic combination. Do not underestimate the Nitti Invo as a sport tyre. Amazing grip. I have tried almost every tyre you can think of with 325,000k's on my car and this is a great combo. Nitto is superb in the rain and excellent in the dry. It has a 260 tread rating on the inside and 160 on the outside. For the grip they have lasted around 20,000k's and still good. The rear Yoko's are still in great condition and offer some of the best straight line grip around. I have found alot of tyres are ok around corners but seem slack in a straight line or need warming to perform. Not these tyres. The last 3 sets of tyres I've had were Falken 615 only because I got them cheap, sadly they are only good when warm. In every day traffic they can be quite dangerous. Sadder still is the 10,000k's I was getting out of them, no thanks.

There's a Sh!tload of Advan A050s leftover from WTAC on the weekend. Most were replaced after just one heat cycle. I'd love to have them myself ;)
