Hi guys

I have notified Motordyne of my interest in this exhaust system with the ART Pipe though they say it will cost me $575U.S shipping cost. That will make it about $2600AU in total for the whole system.

Are there any other systems like Stillen or HKS that are good exhaust systems for the V35 coupe.

Let me know your opinions and price of the systems.

Thanks

Quite sure MD TXD V2 is the best sounding exhaust for our engines by a long shot, also thanks for doing research for me i'm strongly thinking about saving for this exhaust i've heard amazing reviews.

Also did you beat the price down at all on the exhaust system/freight price?

Was that for sea freight though? I'd exercise some patience and get it shipped by sea to help reduce the cost even further.

Do they even make this system at all for the G37/V36? There doesn't seem to be much on offer for that series on their website.

I would agree, it doesn't make much difference having it a couple of weeks earlier. So best to save yourself some money and be patient, just as long as you get it. $575 is a fair and average price for shipping CBEs from the US.

I'm pretty sure its been made for the G37/V36 as well at the time of development and release for the 370Z. Motordyne are the only exhaust system on the market that is modular in design and can fit both Zs and Vs or Gs. The difference is the 8" extension pipes, which is how much longer the G or V is to the Z. But it is best to contact and ask them directly to be sure as always, though I agree there website is vague. Contact them or Tony through the website, g35driver (under Hydrazine) or facebook page.

are you going get the XYZ y pipe as well with that?

The XYZ pipe does come with the system, thats why its called CBE (cat-back exhaust, from the catalytic converters back to the end of tips).

maybe try one of the forum sponsors on G35Driver.

+1 You can get the products from some of the vendors there, but Motordyne (Tony) is on there under Hydrazine.

there's a few out there that wont break the bank...

I had a exoticspeed which i think cost 1/2 that for the motordyne and shipping included) also included y pipe

i later bought some 100 cell cats i think they were ERZ or something like that i forgot the name, then the whole thing sounded like a monster, especially through tunnels or under bridges etc...scared the ba-jesus out of people...

also iv heard a few clips of the invidia exhaust which sounds great.

HI Guys

try www.Shipito.com i use this site for things not allowed to ship out of the US like Burton snow gear.

there is a shipping calculator on the front page you would need weight and dimensions to get a relatively accurate quote.

Cheers

J

EDIT:

i should also mention when you sign up you get an address where goods can be delivered in the US (so if you can get free local us shipping to the address provided this would save on some cost) then the shipping calculator is from their warehouse to you.

deep sounding no rasp yea? with ERZ cats

@TheMax this was fedEX Economy shipping. I have asked for freight cost of getting it shipped by sea. yeah true i sont mind if i get it in a few months though would be good if freight was somewhere about the $200-250us mark.

Will update when i get word.

@Ezy03 Just heard a clip of a g35 with exoticspeed R1-t Exhaust it does sound deep. Sounds very similar to the MD TDX2. And this was with the muffler and midpipe, stock y-pipe and stock cats.

Cannot copy the link but i typed 'G35 ExoticSpeed R1-T Exhaust' in Youtube.

Keep in mind bro the sound you hear on YouTube is certainly not going to do it justice until you hear it in person.

Sean have you heard both of them? MD TDX2 and Exoticspeed R1-T?

Exoticspeed exhaust system listed here:

http://www.exoticspeed.ca/index.php?cPath=62_96_120_602

And here is the quote i got for shipping of the item to Australia:

s/h to Au we offer flat rate ship by ups expedited 3-5 days for $350

G35 and 350Z are different.

for G35, we also have alternative option which is the RII-Titan exhaust true dual . currently available in stock.

They are based in Canada.

    • @soviet_merlin Thanks mate!  Nothing too major but will hold me up for a while. I've got lymphomas to get taken off the back of my neck and the middle of my spine which always conjures scary thoughts!  It sounds worse than it is. Yeah great, conjuring more rabbit hole deepening , just what I need! 🤣
    • I'd argue the F50 kit I got is very good value. For ~2k I got the calipers (refurbed condition), adapters, pads, brake lines, rotors, and top hats. I think you'd be pretty hard to get Evo/GTR/350z brembos + the additional hardware for similar money. Used market for a pair of front calipers alone I've seen tend to run anywhere from $1500-2000 depending on condition.    That said, something like a GTR or 350z brembo is a lot easier to adapt to the Silvia.
    • Is there a significant price difference between the Evo/gtr/350z brembos vs the F50? Looks amazing.
    • I was actually being a tightarse at the time LOL... My OCD is tickling me into running a 2nd 8AN Teflon hose all the way down and removing the 2x OEM hardlines. My other side of my brain is telling me to run 2x hardlines front to back (also acts as a fuel cooler, so win win).
    • As I mentioned in an earlier post, I had some trouble with the Silvia's brakes dragging back in 2023. I managed to sort it out then, but the same problem came back to bite me late last year. Just take a look at the picture – I had a feeling the handbrake was acting up again, and I was right. Anyway, I'd been wanting to upgrade to bigger brakes for a while. Not that the Silvia's brakes were bad, but it was more of a "want" than a "need", you know? It was funny, though – at the time, I couldn't find any Evo Brembos, 350Z Brembos, or GTR Brembos for a decent price (of course, tons of them popped up online after I already bought my kit!). I ended up going with an F50 Brembo kit, which came with adapters, brake lines, 330mm rotors, and top hats. The F50 Brembo caliper was used in a few other cars too, like the FPV. I also decided this was the perfect opportunity to ditch the Silvia's ridiculous rear brakes and that awful handbrake (some of you were definitely right about that!). I picked up some R33 calipers and all the necessary bits – rear drums, backing plates, and new hardware to refurbish the calipers. Of course, it wouldn't be a project without a few hiccups. Turns out the brake master cylinder was playing up and basically (to put it simply) keeping the brakes engaged. I had it overhauled, and after some adjustments, everything was working again. The whole process took a while, as you can imagine. To top it off, the front right wheel bearings were shot and needed replacing too. This is a rare occasion where I'm posting an update while it's all still fresh! These pictures were taken just this afternoon.
