Jamesk89
Is someone able to give me the correct part numbers for all three drive belts for my S2 Stagea (aircon, alternator, power steering) Recently as part of my 100,000k service I bought a set of drive belts. The local gates dealer supplied me with 4PK835R 4K865R 4PK925R (I ordered gates racing belts) When my mechanic did the service he said they didn't fit and the belts on it are at the end of the adjustment. The belts on it currently he said are 4PK865 4PK890 4PK910 I had a quick look on just jap and the numbers they list are 3PK840 4PK855 4PK915 Which are the correct numbers? Please help, no searching is coming up with anything lol Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/406663-rb25det-neo-belts/ Share on other sites
KiwiRS4T
Presumably if you replace with the numbers the mechanic gave you they will fit. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/406663-rb25det-neo-belts/#findComment-6480516 Share on other sites
Jamesk89
Yeah I thought that, but he said it would be better if they were 10mm shorter What's the official listed part number for the rb25det neo? Jezboosted
The 4 stands for 4 ridges/ribs. The last numbers stand for the circumference. If the mechanic said to get 10mm shorter 4PK865 = 4PK855 4PK890 = 4PK880 4PK910 = 4PK900 Mine were replaced a while ago. I just checked them and they are the same as what the mechanic told you you have on your car. I just noticed something too ( see attached pic) - On the Alternator/Waterpump Belt (890) I am only using up less than 10mm of the adjustment and have a shitload to go. A 4PK880 would be a bitch to put on.I would say your mech. wants 10mm shorter because the current ones are stretched. That's just what happens over time. Basically, Do what KiwiRS4T said Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/406663-rb25det-neo-belts/#findComment-6480723 Share on other sites
Jezboosted
err, hmm - I have just looked while not under the influence of alcoholic beverages and noticed I only have 10mm left of adjustment as opposed to 10mm used. Jamesk89
Yeah that's why the mechanic said its near the end of the adjustment. The belt shop gave me a 4PK925R to fit where a 4PK910 should go so he couldnt adjust it enought to fit. It does seem that the belts currently on the car are the ones I need and are the standard stagea length because they're the same as what's on other peoples stagea's Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/406663-rb25det-neo-belts/#findComment-6481899 Share on other sites
