R33 series 1 gts/t = ugly

R33 GTR + series 2 gts/t = sexy shizz

R34 = fkin sexy

I personally think the r33's reputation of its looks was horrible because of the series 1 gts/t's, Other than that all the other r33s look fine to me. Matter of taste and opinion. In the end, you own a freakin skyline and thats pretty decent no matter what model it is. if anything im sick of those kents in their commys and falcons thinking their rides are all that, when infact its just an over powered tractor. I mean seriously we should be discussing why people think their commodores are so great, i mean who doesnt own one of them =='

looking at that i would have to say the 33 is the smoothest, sleekest, SLIMEST car of the lot....

It also looks the lowest and is the nicest colour...

In fact i have just gained a whole new love for the 33 shape..

I always though it was a bit baulbous looking as well but beside its brothers its gotta be the sexiest of the bunch...

ok firstly...stageas? really ? those massive station-wagons? people actually thing they are good looking? i just assumed that whoever was driving it wanted a skyline but had kids...hence the shitty station-wagon version of the skyline. imo Bar the front(which is a skyline front anyway)...those things are ridiculously hideous......

secondly...duckwings are the shit....but the stock s2 spoiler has really grown on me and suits the car now that its been lowered...so im keeeping it.

Lastly , yes an s1 maroon skyline with that rounded spoiler looks almost as bad as a stagea.

For someone who is only very new to this forum, i'll just give you a heads up..

Stageas have a pretty huge following on here, so maybe not so much hate, save you getting off on the wrong foot..

You already started a thread about R33's being ugly, now stageas...

thanks for the heads up , but IMO(yeah O stands for opinion) stageas are butt ugly and I stand by it. Like another member on here said ..the only reason he got one is because he wanted to the haul the kids around and in spite of its looks a stagea is till better then any other station wagon out there. If I had kids..id buy a Stagea too.

You obviously dont get the point oif the thread...notice the inverted commas before and after the word "ugly"? I personally LOVE the r33 shape..as I have stated before...and cant seem to understand why the general car community consider it the worst looking of the Skylines...hence the start of this thread

Kids these days got no respect..

I'm sure his mum is fat and ugly too, but if someone didn't drive her he wouldn't be here ..

Id imagine someone with over 8000 posts would have some kind of civility as you've been on this forums for sometime....instead you choose to insult my mother....this has made you feel better/prove your point somehow? I'm not sure I quite understand this keyboard heroism, but you have succeeded in coming of as a massive douchebag- congratulations!

Nissan owners make the R33 ugly.

Especially now as they head into "old age" and the paint wears through and they cop dings etc... They need to be treated with TLC but a lot of the ones I see don't get that.

Have a look in your rear view mirror next time you have a 32 behind you and let me know if you can tell wether its an early 90's laser or a 32. I cant.

I have a supra...most R32s are so far behind I cant see them anymore......

Everyone can have an opinion mate, did I overtake you at the track recently? Drag you off at the lights? Or are you just jelly?

Stagea's ftw. At least I don't get pulled up every second day, actually I never have in this. Plus it is a lot cheaper than a 34gtr and most of the running gear is the same.

Have you even seen the newer M35 stagea up close? Probably not...

    • Man, different parts but the same numbers is terrible @dbm7! And it doesn't help that most online shops don't list the part numbers at all. They just give a list of compatible models...
    • Slow when hot could also be because its getting more dynamic compression, OR things are getting a bit tighter once it is all expanded. If it were an earthing issue, typically I'd expect you to have it have issues all the time. Unless it's really a combination of both things. Where the higher compression, and things being a bit tighter, is giving that bit of extra load and you do need a slight clean up on the cables/connections.
    • Yeah, this is one of the most annoying things about nissan part numbers... I've got an unrelated example... Image is of the AT output shaft ~ they have the same part#, but clearly the shaft on the left is beefier design to that on the right ...the difference (essentially) is the 'lighter' shaft on the right, is for engines up to RB25DE (this includes RB20 variants) : the shaft on the left is for RB25/26DET(T)....are they interchangeable? Yes...but obviously one shaft is going to be stronger than the other...and, the lighter shaft is around USD115, but the heavier shaft closer to USD150...same part#... ...epc-data usually tells a tale ~ the amayama listing for 39100-23U60 has a note "Longest side is between 60 and 105 cm" ; no such info is there for 39100-23U70 ...and given the great disparity in price between the 2 parts, it makes me at least curious (to the point of caution) where the 'extra money' went? ...ie; these 2 parts have a cost difference that (to myself at least) isn't explained by 'plastic boot'...ie; with amayama there's AUD700 price difference ...plastic versus rubber?...I'm not seeing it like that...and 60cm ~ 105cm...??...that's a huge disparity....something hinky going on here... I'd try searching by VIN, not model... /2cents
    • I don't know for sure, but I'd expect them all to be interchangeable given the diff end and hub end don't move/change between any C34 series. Often Nissan will change part numbers and the aftermarket follows those year ranges; but the original part number change doesn't mean other parts won't fit. The change could be a change in material, internal parts or even just supplier. For example, all the RB gearbox to engine bolts are no longer available and there is a new part number instead. The only change is they went from cadmium plated bolts to zinc plated due to the issues manufacturing with Cadmium. They look different but work the same.
    • One year is a bit concerning. Did you try contacting GSP? It says 5 year warranty on the box if I remember correctly. I'm also running their driveshafts on my S2 Stagea.   You could check the part numbers on Amayama for your year. Here's the link for my 1998 which gives the 39100-23U60 part number. Well, that and 39100-23U70. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/epc/nissan-japan/stagea/wgnc34/6649-rb25det/trans/391 What does it say for yours?
