My Attempt : Refurbishing 3 Piece Work Rims

OK, two done so far. Should have taken pics before I started. The first pic is of the original colour of the rim centres.

The next 3 pics are after my refurb attempt. I have now painted the rim centres a gun metal grey for a better contrast with my car colour.

Are you happy with them , did you end up removing the centres ?

Yeah, happy with them. Removed the centres to paint them properly, then torqued all of the bolts.

i was going to do the same with some veilside andrew wheels but then lost interest and lacked motivation lol

Thanks. Wasn't really that hard. Pulled the rims apart and sanded, primed and painted the centres. Sanded the outer part of the rims with the required grade of emery to get rid of the scratches and curb damage (I used a file to remove some curb damage). Then used finer and finer emery until I had used 3000 grit wet and dry. Then polished using metal polish.

bolted the rims back together and then had them balanced for peace of mind
