am thinking of buying a gti-r rolling shell to build as a track hack. from what i can tell, it should come complete with gearbox, clutch, clutch master, brake system incl brake booster..etc

all it probably needs is a new heart and wiring. I'm not really interested in the a/c and i'll probably strip the interior and eventually fit a roll cage in.

i don't have the tools and engine hoist to fit the engine myself so was looking at buying a front cut ( or engine + loom + ecu) and getting a workshop to transplant the engine and getting the car cranking and running.

For those that have done this before, how much am i going to be up for in terms of labour cost? ...need to see if this is a viable option as opposed to buying a car that's still running.
