No dont do it , its defect for one and the bouncing is a dead give away on hacked factory springs !!

dont go too low , stance looks cool but handles poor , oz roads suck and the bumps will annoy the F out of you or tear off the guard lips and your tyres

And the handling suffers from hitting bump stops and shocks bottom out , most r31 are tired now so do it right with shocks and springs ( check r31 forum ) lots of used but useable shocks and king springs floating around for cheap

yeah i was thinking the kings springs an maybe drop it 30mm but as u know the back of the r31 is higher then the front. would it be a ratio of 30mm for fron an like 50mm for the back?

as for the chop i was just asking i def know its not good to do to your car as my mate done it an he said it rolled an carryed on heaps

if i change the springs to kings springs would i need compleatly new shocks? if so do i just get standard shocks or ones that are lowered or some crap ( im new to this thing lol)

Cant remember how many mm my past 3 r31 were lowered think about 25mm

if your current shocks are newish and not leaking

You can lower a bit but the bumpstops will hit , you can find lower ones or trim off a little of the current ones , but remember once your on the stops your driving no suspension and in a high speed corner your heading for the trees , it slams down and unloads the wheels in a bad way

The r31 suffers heavy engine sags front springs

And worn balls joints etc is common so if all that is in good nick new springs will bring it more level

Chuck in a sub and amp and your level haha

kings ride way better not like a wandering boat

you might have load /towing shocks or helper springs if the car has towed before so check first

hahahah!!!! sub an amp to lvl it out hey.. nice!! hahaha. i kinda wanna do it right lol. and im not racing it or anything ( although tempting) so slammin into a tree at high speeds wont be an issue dude lol. and it seems it never had a tow bar or anything like that so i should be sweet. so a set of 30mm king springs u think would be the go hewy?

To do it right means new shocks as well ? But the cost will skyrocket fast. New bushings most likely too

Depending on rims 30 mm might be enough or too much ? Offset and diameter

You dont need to be racing to have your bumpstops fling you off the road in the right circumstances it can do it any just about any speed , you go from shocks to solid frame handling but its very unpredictable and unsafe

just get some lowered springs.

its not expensive.

if you have any questions, call your local suspension place and ask them.
