hmm, well they both cost around the $1000 mark I suppose. I did coilovers first as I hated the 4x4 spec plus wanted that extra reponse with handling. I would say the extra power with nistune would be more usable with coils installed, at least around corners. Car definitely feels safer and more responsive with them.

Probably get my nistune done in the new year so will let you know how I go.

Hey mate i have the same dilema as you. I want to order in a nistune from the website. Car is r34gtt

56,000 on the clock

Mods. Fmic, coilovers, catback, pod filter, bov. i have a hks old school evc but that stoped working for some reason.

Now my question. How much did you pay for the nistune?

Did you fit it yourself?

I got quoted $1500 supplied fitted + tuned.. Is this a good deal?

Sorry if im crashing your thread.

Cheers, anthony

I managed to nab a board for $200. Club sponsor tuner quoted me around $80 to fit and a couple hours tuning time from memory which is around $150/hr. So comes in well under 1k

I would say you could easily find a better deal that what you have been offered, espesh being in Sydney. Check out the sponsor threads or ask some locals.

Cheers boys, Yea i got that quote from croydon i found them in nistune website qhen i searched for local tuner under there.

How do i get in contact with with this people?

Sorry mates im just a newbie in this forums. I just shop here a lot lol

MRC are in Castle Hill and have the imaging gear for Nistune. Mark was very helpful a few weeks ago when he re-imaged my board prior to a tidy up tune with Jez.

Unigroup are in Girrawheen and I believe Yavuz is also working out of Windsor as well.

DVS-JEZ is a member and is a champion bloke and is very helpful, careful and thoughtful with his tuning.

    • I had no transmission at all so I managed to find a big box manual gearbox from an R34 GTT for an insanely good price in EU. I converted it to push type which cost more than the transmission almost, with parts from Amayama! These engines are very strong and can put out decent power with a properly sized turbo. You can save on money from parts like pistons and rods, and invest those in the transmission and other parts. I suggest you join the RB20 Enthusiasts facebook group, plenty of info and almost daily posts there about 20DE/DET/Neo+T builds. (I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules by mentioning third party platforms, just trying to help the buddy out)
    • Yeah, having tried all of those methods including BBQ+recipro/hacksaw, I ended up buying a bush press kit under $150 that works well, like this: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/355967727167?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=705-154756-20017-0&ssspo=sfmmuhxgqhm&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=dJvnaZ11TB-&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY It basically has a range of pushers and cups with threaded rods between to press out a range of large bushes. The problem with any sawing solution is minimising damage to the subframe side, although it probably needs a quick sand afterwards no matter what solution you try due to damage
    • Hi. Thanks for the answer. I do not have instagram 😄 I too considering turbo the RB20DE NEO 🙂 But i think i upgrade the gearbox first or at least buy new.
