Sorry for the triple post but I'm doing this on a mobile :).

I took another look at the video and I'm almost 100% sure you have the regulator coming off the wrong side of the rail. That one in the pic closer to the cylinder head and slightly forward from the brass(?) fitting you are pointing to should be the pressure reg. You have your feed going to that and the return coming off the other side.

Also, with your reg set up externally on the strut tower, you should always set the pressure gauge just before it. It eliminates this problem as a possibility when you do

Easy mistake to make mate. Don't be hard on yourself. Now go out and smash some pushrod dinosaur into submission.
