Oh Keith, when you get your zorst put on, you mind telling me total cost and how long you were without your car for?

If its a reasonable price, and its only for like the better part of a saturday, i might give them a ring and get my bolted back on

Car is going in for its Major service that day.

Will try to scam another car to try to make it lol

I'm getting mine serviced (a minor only) that day too. Where you taking yours?

down at my mechanics in springvale

over teh 100k mark and the partner wont let me shell out for a cheap daily driver lol

I'm out at Nuwan's.

Still runs fine after 100k? Mines about to hit 85k, so having a minor service.

Popping by Revzone next Tuesday. Quoted me $80 to put the xorst on plus the time it takes for them to fix the fitment issues. They have a xorst welding specialist there but he only works weekdays. Will let you know the total damage after I pick it up.

Yea still runs fine.. most of my Kms are freeway KMS. Should feel sharper once i get my major done though

Just a reminder that this is still on, although I may be car-less (Hoping that Revzone guys manage to get the exaust on by Friday.)

Look forward to see you all...and Norby and Richard, you are most welcome to join us!

Let me know if you or Josh want a lift, happy to swing past after work.

lol justin is still there? I took my rex to him back in 2004..is craig still there?

Haven't seen Craig, or George for a few years. Justin is the main guy, and I have a lot of time for Jason as well.

does justin do servicing for v35's?

if so, care to PM me a price?

cheers mate

At the risk of going off topic, yes they do minor & major servicing, in fact they do everything that's not body panel work (even tyres). Can't remember the price off the top of my head (got a lot of things done at the same time) but I was pleasantly surprised.

    • I found the same with Subaru’s.  I own and love the SG9 Forester, after that model 2008+, Subaru threw the ugly stick at all their line up and somehow managed to make them look worse with every succeeding year.  lol
    • It's something we all have to consider as time marches on. Also consider lifted rally MX5 conversion at that point.
    • I should be fine for a few more years, whilst I do have arthritis I also exercise and do mobility training every day to keep as fit and healthy as I can, military life, which is the actual cause of most of my joint issues, has set daily regimes, which I weirdly enjoy I also train alot smarter now, not really focusing on lots strength or puffy muscles, I'm more focused on maintaining what I have for my future older self, I actually train as much mobility now as I do exercising Check out this "simple" drill I have been doing daily prior to training now for a while now, this has worked wonders in my all round mobility
    • I'd say one thing that may make you sell is the same reason the guy with the hard top roof sold his. He got old, and his back was giving him too much grief stopping him getting in and out... Old guy said he was 73! He looked and sounded younger than 73 to me! Or maybe I'm just aligning with old people more...
    • Already looked at a few prior to getting the MX5, really nice car, had all the mod cons, but I wasn't really sold on the new "look" I did miss my 2017 Limited, and I personally prefer the "look" of the older car over the new model, but, when pondering I kept going back looking at MX5's But it was same same for the new ND's, I wasn't sold on the new "look", especially the RF with its weird roof, which only half goes down, like a targa top sort of thing As I stated before, I did look at NC's, but the cars I looked at were PRHT's, but I didn't like their roof line "look" of the PRHT, until I saw the soft top version, (someone on SAU posted a for sale ad for one with a soft top that caught my attention, you can blame them for my choice.....🤣) and.... that old style detachable hard tops were available for them, which keeps the old MX5 more smoother flowing roof line, and the more rounded body style, similar to the NA-NB, to me, the arse end of the ND looks to "modern" Much like how I prefer the NC1 front bar, over the later models How long will I keep this car for is unknown, but currently, there's nothing else out there that "floats my boat" for a small, fun, little "sports car", that I can play with and enjoy looking at and driving But, who knows what the future holds, and going off current new car styling, if I replace it, it will be a older model something something
