Roy
Next week ill be going away for up to 16 weeks, most likely 4-7 weeks. As my car will be laying dorment i want to be sure that laying stationary for this duration wont hurt the car. So whats the norm procedure. I was thinking remove wheels and place on stands, remove battery, remove brake pads. I was once told that eninges can begin to corrode, surface pitting etc, after only a few weeks. Is this really true, should the plugs be removed and some sot of anti seize etc be sprayed into the bores. Or just leave the thing sitting in garage, as the duration is short enough not to hurt it. Boostzor
The things sit in the containers for that long so it shouldnt be a problem. If you could get someone to start it once ever week or 2 it should be fine. PS: if u cant trust someone not to take it for a drive put it in a locked garage and only give em the the small door key so they cant get it outside.:burnout: Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/4075-car-storage/#findComment-65517 Share on other sites
