I find I can squat and bench multiple times a week and still get quality work in on other movements

but deadlifting has to be planned out a bit because of the lower back fatigue... once the lower back and grip is gone I find it hard to do much else and need a full 48 hours to recover... otherwise my workout is compromised... lots of foam rolling on the lower back helps

I used to give equal time to squatting and deadlifting but now I'm focussing more on squatting and just deadlifting once a week... I find a stronger squat helps the DL, but it doesn't work the other way round

^^ you don't have runners?

I've got a $20 pair of K-mart specials lol - I don't ever really use them. The closest I get to an activity that warrants runners would be riding my bike, which I wear my skate shoes :P

I do actually have a pair of Vans Authentics that I've squatted in before and they did quite well, though personally I prefer barefoot anyway.

i'm not talking about just lifting, I wear weightlifting shoes for most most of my lifting.

I didn't realise he didn't run, sprint, do circuits, play some sport, or do anything apart from lifting weights.

I sprint barefoot on a grass track :P I ride a downhill bike which is horrifically inefficient when not going down a hill....aaaaaaand I'm considering taking up soccer again this year, so I'll obviously need to buy boots for that. If I have time for it at least.

I just don't have time and couldn't be f**ked doing anything other than the above on top of lifting. Don't see the point.

I don't do any of those.

Drive to work in Business attire.

once home I walk the dogs

then lift

then repeat.

I do have sneakers though... for the walking of said dogs

^ I used to think the same, now I look over to my shoe rack and see work boots, black business shoes, and trendy fasion shoes not suitable for anything practical. Oh how the times change, back in the day all I used to have was runners, would wear them everywhere.

    • I believe there was a similar one posted by @duggyphresh. They were re-routing their battery positive cable in the way I am also trying to achieve. Sorry, I’m new to this forum, so was a bit late to the party by a few months and so reignited the old thread, as I wanted to know how they got on with doing it.
    • Wasn't there a thread on this very subject just a few weeks ago?
    • Hi all! Looking to relocate the battery to the trunk of an R34 GTT. I want to do it using as many stock GTR components as I can (including the harness protectors from the 34 GTR that run underneath along the chassis to the engine bay). So far I’ve purchased the battery tray from a 33 GTR, as the captive weld nuts are already there just asking to be used. There is also the slight issue of now having to relocate the ABS/TC/Fuel Pump Control ECU, which in GTT’s sits right above where the battery will then sit on the tray. Has anyone already achieved this, and if you have any pics that you wouldn’t mind sharing? It would be great to see how others have done it and where you put them, as there are countless holes in the parcel shelf panel to potentially use. Just trying to get some ideas bounced around, and to help uncover any potential problems I may encounter by  my choice of location. TIA for any help!
    • Brand was ard.   I also threw a brand new battery at it and beefed up the wire from the alternator to battery and added an extra earthing point from the battery
