Mitcho_7
I was going great til I got sick and when I finished week 8 with the 110kg bench it felt like I had more in me. I think I'll give it one more week and if I can't get it out next week ill start all over again on the 125kg bench program seeing as my 1rm has gone up Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/407502-powerlifting/page/44/#findComment-6828785 Share on other sites

markos
We had our GPC Nats Qualifier on Sunday. After getting 60 lifters to our States, we had a heap more who missed out and therefore not qualified for Nats, so we held the Qualifier and got another 23 lifters. We may have 100 lifters at States in 2014. NickR33
Dylan Hart looked strong in the 90's... but I'll still beat him at Nats... he's too pretty to powerlift anyway... he doesn't even have a gut or beard 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/407502-powerlifting/page/44/#findComment-6831517 Share on other sites
Mitcho_7
Just completed week 10 of the 165kg deads program, got 160kg out. Now just gotta step it up next week and pull 165. The only part of PPP that has stalled for me is bench and feel like that might be partly technique related. By no means am I saying my squat or dead form is good, just not as big of a hinderance yet... I'm still learning the technique Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/407502-powerlifting/page/44/#findComment-6834862 Share on other sites

NickR33
I've been doing two full press sessions a week... my shoulders are so battered I can barely get dressed in the mornings... Mitcho_7
I was finding I was making better strength gains in the earlier weeks of the PPP program when it was all 5s and 3s and the odd single. Since it progressed to singles pretty much the whole session my progress slowed a lot. markos
Its a skill you need to learn Firing all your fast twitch fibres for a max effort is a skill I have some lifters that need to learn to do 5 reps Once your a complete lifter, you'll progress much faster Zoran was awesome at singles, crap on 10's Now he's much better, and much stronger for it Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/407502-powerlifting/page/44/#findComment-6835725 Share on other sites

Mitcho_7
Got out the 165kg dead this morning! Didn't think it was going after I did the 157.5 before it and it felt tough but I got it up! What happens when you finish that PPP program? Do you just pick a different weight and start again the next week or what? What happens when you finish that PPP program? Do you just pick a different weight and start again the next week or what? did you read the PPP program? It says do anything you like, just not that exercise The cycles are 11 weeks long. You should get through 4 cycles per year. That’s 44 weeks, which leaves 8 weeks. At the end of each cycle, I want you to do whatever you like, no structure. You can rest, do bodybuilding, train the whole body, curls for 2 weeks, it doesn’t matter. It will allow you to freshen up your mind and body, this is very important. Go and jog for all I care, you’ve earned it. Mitcho_7
Well I'm still stuck at week 9 for 120 bench and on week 10 of 135 squat so do I just not deadlift for 2 weeks and then start up again?
