I run KU36's but because I don't drive the GTR that much in the rain.

You're better off for a KU31 as a street tyre. KU36's are really designed to be a high performance street which means it will be better in the dry than wet. The KU31 is more all rounder.

Also the NSW club get's federal 959ss and RS-R's for bloody cheap on our member price. You'd probably save the membership fee on a full set with change to spare.

but these are comparable to a semi slick aren't they(but arent a semi slick)Kind of like the ku36...this would mean they need some kind of heat to work the best...

yup ku31s it is. 2x 255's for under $400 delivered....cant really complain.

I put my foot down ever so slightly when at the lights and the rears started to spin on the spot. Camrys and kias where taking a corner way faster then me and most where overtaking.

I've been getting overtaken by granddads in their white Camrys everytime it rain for the past 3 years, my car have Maxxis MA-V1s (came with my cheap china copy wheels) & when taking off from the lights I have to use <20% throttle (last time the back wheels lost traction from taking off I checked my SAFC2 controller & it read 23% throttle peak) otherwise I will get wheel spin every time.

i have those ku31 ecsta's on the pulsar. they are good with lots of tread. now 5 years old and god knows how many k's they still have about 2 mil above the notch and they cant handle water

cant?

not good in the wet?

Lol, my ute dumped on its ass with leaf springs in the back, a locker and shit tyres was the most tail happy vehicle you could imagine in the wet.

Go to a skidpan and learn how to drive it. I could lap deserted roundabouts as long as I wanted.

Also, 40 clicks through a roundabout in pissing down rain is too fast. Drive to the conditions.

Goodyear Eagle F1.......I think these are your friend. Dunno if they still make them but if they do get the real ones, not the ones made in Thailand (you can tell by the shoulder blocks).

question, is this turning left or right on a roundy or just going straight through?

^^as above

also when lowering a car you'll get more wheel spin off the line as there is more neg camber on the rear meaning less tyre to the road. try lowering you tyre pressure to 30 or so for more rear grip

when its raining next i recommend you get out to your local free drivers training area and practice a low speed donut

this is my current camber, bought camber arms to correct this. is my car so excessive as to cause this problem(replacing tyres this weekend)
