An hour?? Nice work Clint. When I did mine I think I spent an hour unboxing it and marvelling at all the shiny, lol.

In that case you will do your turbo swap in half a day :whistling:

Why did you remove the headlight?

hahaha i removed the head light coz the instructions told me to. I guess it makes it easier to get the clamp and cooler piping through and to pull out the over flow bottle? not sure ?

either way its only three bolts that hold it in. I would have to say its one of the easiest cooler installs ive ever seen and @ $599 dilivered i dont think i could have done any better.

OK, I don't remember reading that - maybe that explains why it took me significantly longer than you :)

It's a good cooler & you got it for a good price. Cost me nearly $100 more a year ago, but I still think it was good value.

Works great & easy to install - that's why almost every M35 owner on here is using the HDI.

Not me Leon, but I have always been told I an a little 'different'. :P

Good job on the install Clint, what's next?

Yep, I know that (both that you don't use the HDI & that you are a little 'different', lol), that's why I said almost every M35 owner...

You would be the odd man out in that regard I think. I don't know of any other fmic's in use other than HDI & yours. Of course ignoring Alex's PNM.

Scotty mate, i have that much more respect for you bro..... I had a look at this place where there is apparently a turbo installed (I couldnt see sh!t) after removing most of the piping i still couldnt get in close enough to see a thing. so im going to give it a miss. Now here is my problem I have a car with a dead turbo so driving it to melbourne to get the Greddy ultimate, down and front pipe installed isnt really an option and i need a donar to send away to get Hi-flowed. then im gonna have to find a machanic to do the swap over. I'm in the singleton nsw, any ideas?

It's quite a job, worse than the GTR turbo's I am swapping at the moment though. :)

Can you drive it to Sydney? PM Craig. (Jetwreck) If not, I hope you find a good mech. He will hate you after this job. lol.

might get it flat bedded to sydney get the turbo and booste controller done and then hammer it to melbourne for the rest lol..... the things we do for the ricewagon.

I can send a dump pipe up for Craig to fit if you give me some notice, no point putting the stock one back on...

I can possibly help with housings too, although the turbo I have here is perfect and I would prefer not to split it open.

jasevr4 had the Blitz fmic :)

I run a Calsonic unit. :)

Are you referring to the factory one? If so, LOL.

OK, 3 types in use :)

If I was to get some M35 fmic kits made....are the HDI one's the best design?

They do go together quite nicely; if anything I think a 600mm x 300mm core is a bit too big, probably about 600mm x 220mm would be spot on.

The other thing is; they can be had for as little as $580 now (free delivery) and the core is excellent. How much cheaper would your kits be?

Mine bolts under the intrusion bar allowing plenty of room for coolers and fans. Not sure how well it would fit with the stock front bar though.

+1, it would have to be a good core and cheap to beat the HDI, it's a quality item with cooler piping that actually fits.
