A tight/well built motor should never really have piston slap in this day & age unless you are running a 600rwkw+ monster that needs a bit of extra clearance.

Out of my 3 built motors, mine are all silent.

I'd say Exhaust manifold gasket.

chances are if you boost it while it is cold it will scream and sound like a screamer pipe too. Goes away once it's warmed up due to expansion of the metal making the seal.
